[Capture the Relic] There needs to be points for defending your relic

I spent a whole match killing onslaughts of enemies from both sides, not dying, and denying any and all attempts to grab my relic. And I only got a measly 650 points from it.

No one ever wants to defend the relic, and yet it's arguably the most important job in that gamemode.

Easy solution: just give score for 1. staying close to your relic, and 2. killing enemies near your relic.

Well, sometimes your presence at your relic can also act as a deterrent, which is generally a good thing for your team because it just means your enemies will choose to fight each other, but it also means you'll see less combat.

Was gonna make this same thread. Not a flex, weak lobby. Volunteered to defend solo, did it perfectly with 0 deaths and 0 balls stolen... outscored by the 4-14 guy on the team with 0 points. What.

1. Almost all competitive group activities have dedicated defense positions, be it war, sports or the holy tank-dd-heal trinity.
2. Defense is an integral part of that game - it's just that many people don't want to fill this role because it doesn't "pay" on an individual level.
3. Rewarding defensive roles as much as offensive ones doesn't suddenly turn everybody into goalies. It simply offers equal "pay" for different playstyles, so you can more freely choose how to benefit your team.
4. ESO isn't the only MMO with PvP minigame arenas, but it's the only one that seems to not honour defensive playstyles. Usually you get points every X seconds close to whatever you're guarding.

Yeah this is the only annoying part to me. I don't mind defending the flag but I'll get kicked if no one comes to take the flag.
