Dimming feature while minimised not recovering immediately

Dimming feature is part of the new environmental-sustainability-features.
When dimming feature kicks in while game is running minimised, it does not recover when maximising again.
The screen most of the time remains black, and sometimes stuck on a previous splash screen.
I have to minimise game, and maximise a second time for it to recover. This happens every single time and is rather annoying.
