it has been years that you are unable to help me. This problem has been ongoing too long

Stop blaming our ISPs

Stop passing the issue to this department, that department. I paid you money for a service you offer. This is a contract, you can't fix it, give me my money back.

OUTRAGEOUS!!!

UNABLE to connect to game server blah blah blah

I PVP a lot also and forget queing for that, my game runs at as low as 18FPS, ya you heard me right 18fps.

I have been patient but 2 yrs without a solution is plain thievery.

What do you use when the honey is all used up on the effort?

As an odd aside, IRL, a lot of flies are more attracted to vinegar than honey, so it's kind of a weird adage.

You're absolutely right. Furthermore it has been amply demonstrated over the last 10 years that Zenimax respond to vinegar much more promptly than they do to honey. We can be as nice as pie, offering words of support and encouragement, and go months with no response. Then we resort to the vinegar, and whad'ya know? We get their attention straight away!

    On occasion.

You overlook the need to catch flies in the first place. Why is there such a need? Who asked for them to be caught versus killed? What are the benefits of catching them? These are things we need to know.

Problem is, most ISP's in the US run through Comcast hubs/switches at one point or another. And yes Comcast is a pain in the dark side of the moon for both MMO's as well as their players and has been throttling online game services for the past 25 years. Dunno if the OP has that exact problem. He prefers ranting instead of seeking solutions. But it's a pain for everyone and ZoS won't be able to fix that no matter what they try. As for Europe, thankfully we have laws against this kind of practices.

I recently moved houses and thus had to downgrade my internet from fiber to Comcast, because the fiber wasn't yet available in the area. When I was running fiber, I had no issues. Since I've had to use Comcast, well....

PvP has its issues, but I think if you've been disconnecting constantly for 2 years, you may need tech support.

If OP has been waiting as long as they say all the honey has rotted away and the vinegar evaporated. The flies starved.

As Kelly Bundy said, "yes, but if you pull their wings off they'll eat whatever you give them".

That aside I'm not having near the issues the opening poster is having and I hope they get it sorted out.

I'm not sure if the OP has tried this, but I have seen being sweet as honey and providing a ticket number help get attention from people like @ZOS_Bill or @ZOS_Kevin and some of their colleagues to resolve ticket issues.

    I work in Tech Support.
I have worked in Tech Support of one form or another for more than a decade.
Here are some truths I can tell you that apply regardless of the product and/or industry

    1. If the issue seems like a huge server or internal type problem, but only one (or a very few) person is complaining about it, the problem is likely something local to the individual (or small group.
A note on that first issue: There is a huge challenge with identifying whether you are simply just discovering a new issue, or whether it is just an individual issue caused by something on their end. However, even with products that have a long development cycle, the idea of 2 years going by and it not becoming a widespread issue suggests that this is an individual issue caused by something on your end.

    2. Internet requirements are highly underrated and misunderstood. In home security, upwards of 60% to 70% of people who have camera related problems. The reason there is such a high disparity of people who have cameras and misdiagnose their problems is because of how the Internet works and the average consumer's internet usage. The average consumer almost exclusively uses the download side of their internet. Wireless security cameras almost exclusively use the upload to function. You can be able to successfully stream Netflix to 30 different devices simultaneously, and not have a good measurement of how well you could support a single security camera. Netflix almost entirely uses download. The only group of people that come close to the requirements that security cameras have for wifi, is avid online gamers. In addition to speed issues, there are also port issues that can either allow or block certain things through your router.

    3. It is a rare thing when the person (regardless of their expertise) actually understands the nature of the problem. This is not an intelligence issue. This is a perspective issue. I have spoken with former ceo's of billion-dollar companies who had problems as simple as their panel was unplugged. One of the biggest things that helps me fix the issues people are facing is to help them to change their perspective.

    Short version
The idea of an issue that has been going on for 2 years that seems to only be affecting you, being something in the control of ZoS is almost beyond belief. Yes, it might feel like it from your perspective. Yes, it might not make sense from your perspective. But the very story you tell, suggests that the issue is something completely out of the control of ZoS. What the actual fix might be, I could not say. With the length of the problem, and your very understandable frustration over it, I would guess that the problem is something so far out of the ordinary that you in order to find and fix it, you will likely have to think so far out of the box that it might be nearly impossible to solve.

One possible path to find a fix might not exist online. I am not even sure of how to word the question properly. If you play another MMO then research the internet and firewall requirements of the game that works and compare that to the internet and firewall requirements for ESO. Based on my decade of experience and assuming it is something related to your ISP (which it might not) the challenge with that, will be to get detailed enough information to the requirements for both games. If you are not getting info that goes into the UDP ports (I think that is the right abbreviation) that might need to be open in order for the game to function, then you are likely not getting deep enough to find the problem. And if it is something on your computer like your firewall, then I wouldn't even know what to tell you to figure that out.

When I have ran into these kinds of problems, the solution I have often done is to reformat my whole computer and reinstall everything because when you get this level of problem, it is often easier to completely reformat your whole computer than to even consider being able to figure out what the problem is, let alone solve the problem.

I wish you luck. I really do. This would not be a fun place to be stuck for so long.

Edit: With a FPS dipping as low as 18, that suggests that the problem is likely both hardware and internet related. With Bethesda games (yes, this counts as one) they tend to be resource hogs. That is not a bad thing. They just like to try to do a lot in their games and ESO is no exception. If you meet the minimum, you might consider (assuming you can afford it) upgrading to exceed them minimum. Another thing that could be happening is background processes using up available resources. I just had to uninstall some bloatware that came preinstalled on my new computer in order to get it to support ESO.

In my experience of dealing with and resolving complex ongoing issues, this is most likely a compound issue caused by multiple things working in harmony against you.

An interesting and accurate observation. The one flaw though, it gets their attention but it doesn't lead to a resolution. And once the 'puff piece' response has been issued, all the honey in the world won't result in getting any further updates on the problem - regardless of how long it persists.

Instead after that point the only way to ensure updates is to literally drench the situation in vinegar so those responsible recognise the bitterness they are generating within their customer base. I don't offer this as a suggestion. I state that this is my direct first-hand experience of how Zenimax handle issues. Their approach is identical now to what it was 10 years ago, and they seem oblivious to the frustration that it causes for their customers.

This really needs more information to be able to rule out possible issues and come up with potential solutions. Platform, specs, server, ISP, geographical location, etc. If the goal was purely to vent, fair enough, carry on.

Sidebar, people are absolutely right about United States internet infrastructure being a dystopian hellscape where customers are bamboozled with misleading advertising, de-prioritized, given as little as possible, sometimes outright lied to, and are powerless to do anything about it because the monopolies have no incentive to improve service.

Which server do you play on? Which platform?
Have you tried disabling add-ons if on PC?
How old is your system? Does it meet the minimum requirements?
Have you contacted your ISP to see if that could be contributing?

There are a lot of things that could be contributing to these problems and we can't assume it's just a problem with the server.

You need to take into account the fact that, since "Problem is, most ISP's in the US run through Comcast hubs/switches at one point or another." - all the other claims that players make about not having high ping issues and bad lag in other games that also run through many/most of the same internet framework and routers.
