Scribing - Console prep?

Can console players prep for scribing now by doing dailies, and saving the reward boxes?

Also, is there specific dailies that give scripts?

Daily world boss, delve, and world event (dragon fight/harrowstorm etc) drop them. Also Rewards for the Worthy (I think I opened up some saved-up Rewards and got scripts—not sure if it works that way for all of them).

You get a guaranteed drop the first of each of these you do per day (accountwide I think), and it's like a ~25% chance after that.

I got all my focus scripts on my main from saving up rotw boxes. Most ppl said old boxes wouldn't have scripts, but well, they did.
Apart from dailies, you can also get scripts from leaderboards rewards, so those might be worth looking into as well.

You get guaranteed drop a day per type daily, not type of script. So 9 scripts a day:

Daily world event
Daily boss
Daily Delve

Mages guild daily
Fighters guild daily
Undaunted delve daily

Rewards for the Worthy
Cyrodiil daily
Imperial city daily

All can be prepared in advance

You get random scripts you don't have learned + that is not in your inventory.

Yes, same way as set items, you have to learn the script first to not get a duplicate on that toon.

Not exactly the same. It accounts for unlearned in your inventory too and does not give you these. You can bank ones you want to keep dropping and hold the rest in inventory.

I know I got scripts from old RotW boxes.

And I was pleasantly surprised because they usually don’t let the new stuff drop from old boxes - I hope they keep it this way, letting us prepare in advance gave me something to do before the Chapter hit.
