Most likely broken furnishing items

Happened right after gold road release here is what I've found so far:

Apocrypha pillar, book stacks - this used to be brown colored pile of books forming a pillar, it still looks like that in item description. But now it has turned to poison green and looks terrible like some coding gone bad. I hope this is not intentional, it was good as it was originally.

Statue, Ancestor-King Auri-El - this is definitely bugged now. When you set the effects on, a huge light pillar engulfs almost whole statue in a way you will not see the statue anymore just the light pillar that hurts your eyes. It wasn't like that before.

Grand master blacksmithing station - This has been an issue for some time now, the station tends to disappear all the time no matter where you place it.

I fear there are a lot more than this haven't gone through all the furnishing but keep posting bugs people so they will hopefully get fixed soon.

I have 1 of the Ancestor-King Auri-El statue, and I just checked its different light settings after reading your post, and they all work correctly for me. One of these light animations is supposed to be a not-quite vertical pillar of light cutting through the middle of the statue, so that is normal behaviour. Can I suggest you make a screenshot (or very short video), and post it here?

I'm just posting this to try to help, by the way, so please don't take this as my doubting what you saw. If you could post a screenshot, that would really help.

Here is a picture of the statue taken just a minute ago. It really should not look like this with the full effects on. It wasn't like that before..

Agreed, that's pretty shocking. I suggest raising a support ticket for the problem. Also, have you tried moving the statue around a bit (e.g. sideways, or up/down)? Does anything change when you do that?

Hey @Dimorphos thanks for reporting these. We'll investigate. As @vsrs_au asked, is there any change if you move that statue and/or place it in a different house?

Also, are you using any mods that enhance graphics and/or lighting? At first check, our Systems team is not seeing this on Live so any additional info you could provide would be a great help!

The grandmaster station is really an issue. I'm kind of bored trying to change it's place around all the while only to see it for that one moment I rerranged it, then vanishing again. I thought at least housing and furnishing were more taken care of since most of this stuff comes for money but I guess I was wrong. I am starting to think that perhaps the best "content" to be released yet is a full year with no content what so ever but full revision of the game and its bugs, glitches, wrong performances and all the rest of it, since obviously time is an issue, and there is never time enough to fix things before something new comes out again and breaks what's out there. Seriously things are becoming frustrating. And no I am not talking just about furniture at this point. This is just another nail in the coffin.

My pillar is still the same colour as before, same as the walls. Can be seen in my Emissary's Enclave / primary on PCEU. It was crafted and placed before the patch.




Statue also working ok.

Are you using some housing addon which may need to be updated or is not working right? I have all disabled if I am not doing master writs, so that might suggest an addon issue.

With addons turned off and different house this time. The statue looks wrong even in housing editor info and that pillar of books really was not like that before the release of gold road, it used to be more natural brown. But I will investigate further if I have some weird setups going on in user setting file for example.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom After I reset my user settings file, the problem was solved right away so it seems I had some misguided editing done there. So sorry for this Feel free to delete this post so I do not have to live with the shame

Those are some weird visual bugs but glad you were able to find and fix the problem!

Hey all good! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. We'll let the team here know. Honestly, leaving this here may help any other players who run into this peculiar issue.

For those asking about the Grand Master Blacksmithing Station issue, we do have a bug in for that and are working on a fix. That one is confirmed.
