Takes Forever to Download

I have been downloading Elder Scrolls Online for about an hour, and I am still at 0%. Is it supposed to be this slow?

It's 60gb. After an hour i had like 30% done I think, either your download rate is extremely slow or something is wrong.

That's extremely slow, you're doing like 360mb per hour and the full game is like 61k, so the percentage makes sense, but the download is not supposed to be this slow, do you use steam? if so, how fast do you download games on steam or in fact in general? 100 kbs is really slow and it'll take you forever to download this game at that "speed"

100 kbs is a really slow downloading rate, is this a normal download rate for you? when you download a game on steam, is it this slow too?

Just trying to figure out if this is normal download speed for you or not, I certainly hope it's not because it will literally take you days to download the game at that speed

I would think it should be quicker but that is normal. We have fast web and such. It is normal for Steam too.

I would think it should be quicker but that is normal. We have fast web and such.

Just checked my speed again and it was hovering around 155 kB/s. Sometimes it climbed to 200-220 kB/s

I have ben downloading since noon today and getting an average of 61kbs this way to slow for a 22gig program to download at this pace I will be able to play after the head start is over. Well its 1 am cst I am really wondering really wonder why I am still at 10% download did a tracert and ping is ok to the servers but its still around 100kb/s at this hour. Any Support got a suggestion?

I have let my game download over-night, and I am now at 8%. This is going to take forever. I am thinking since I have been downloading so much stuff after I reset my computer yesterday morning, Pogo-Zone might've slowed down my web speed. We have unlimited web though.

Checked my speed again and it was hovering around 230-240 kB/s. Sure hope it stays this fast, it is the fastest it has been. If it keeps up like this it should take around 16-17 hours. Then after I will probably have to patch it since they are adding things on the official worldwide release tomorrow.

Speed test give 2.5megs download speed, Pining download server from my providers office give the server * * * for return speed I have ben downloading since last yesterday best speed coming from ESO server is 122 kbs I know I play on a crappy connection, 4x1 meg but everything else I have down loaded this past week since I had to reload all my steam games and I get better download speed off steam. 22 gig program took my 5 hrs to download my connection is very stable even though I don't get 10 megs download speed
I am look at the downloader now I am still at 15 % oops 16% and at 31 kbs
just to let you know my provider office has 15 meg up and down and that's where I am sitting.
I am not trying to be a troll but there is other issues going on right now. That needs to be looked from ESO end.

Hello everyone!!! just here to say.... it's steel not working very good!!! When I do a speed test I have 12 mega but my download speed for the game is around 105 kbs so now it has been 8 hours since I started and I'm steel at 12%!!!!!

Is someone doing something at Elder Scrolls Online to help us!!! Thank you !!!!!

Disabling the windows firewall helped, my dl speed went from 150 kbs to 2.9 mbs as it should be.

Hi ! Thanks *** for your answer, but my firewall is disabled since I bought my computer. I don't use Windows but Mac.

And just for the record it took me 2 days to dl the game !!!! HAHAHA, so disappointed.......

I downloaded mine for 3 days! and those are from disks lol. Keep at it, the game is worth the wait

oh and about the percentage, after watching my launcher for days, I think every file you download is on average around 1%, no matter the size. you can download 4gb worth of file and it increases by only 1%, but at the same time, if you download 50mb it also increases by 1%. Bottom line is that the % shown isn't really a good indicator of the amount of files left to download.

I am curious who the ISP being used are and what the advertised speed of your service would be?

That would allow the use of a Download Calculator to estimate the time it should take. If it is taking significantly more time -- particularly during off peak hours you may need to contact your ISP to check if your connections is working at the full speed correctly.

i run speed test i have about 2Mb/s, my PTS client is downloading at 190kb/s (yesterady was 250kb/s)
