I have Steam on my computer, but I am not downloading Elder Scrolls Online off of it.That's extremely slow, you're doing like 360mb per hour and the full game is like 61k, so the percentage makes sense, but the download is not supposed to be this slow, do you use steam? if so, how fast do you download games on steam or in fact in general? 100 kbs is really slow and it'll take you forever to download this game at that "speed"

That's not what I asked
100 kbs is a really slow downloading rate, is this a normal download rate for you? when you download a game on steam, is it this slow too?
Just trying to figure out if this is normal download speed for you or not, I certainly hope it's not because it will literally take you days to download the game at that speed
Just checked my speed again and it was hovering around 155 kB/s. Sometimes it climbed to 200-220 kB/s
I would think it should be quicker but that is normal. We have fast web and such.
Speed test give 2.5megs download speed, Pining download server from my providers office give the server * * * for return speed I have ben downloading since last yesterday best speed coming from ESO server is 122 kbs I know I play on a crappy connection, 4x1 meg but everything else I have down loaded this past week since I had to reload all my steam games and I get better download speed off steam. 22 gig program took my 5 hrs to download my connection is very stable even though I don't get 10 megs download speedZOS_ChesterN wrote: »Hail Defilers of Molag Bal!
If the download and installation process is running slow, there are several temporary solutions:
First, players should try disabling the firewall and anti-virus. Default Windows firewalls will come on automatically after others are disabled, so keep in mind that the Windows firewall may need to be disabled, too. Always remember to turn them on again after the download completes.
Players can also try opening the following ports on their router:
•24100 through 24131
•24500 through 24507
If that doesn't work, they can try bypassing the router and plugging the computer in directly to the internet source to improve download speeds.
Download speeds are directly related to internet connection speed. If the overall connection speed seems slow, players can verify it through a third party source like SpeedTest. This site, and many others, will calculate internet connection speed (higher numbers are better). If the overall internet connection speed is slow, we recommend the players to contact their Internet Service Provider and have them troubleshoot the connection with them.

I am look at the downloader now I am still at 15 % oops 16% and at 31 kbs
just to let you know my provider office has 15 meg up and down and that's where I am sitting.
I am not trying to be a troll but there is other issues going on right now. That needs to be looked from ESO end.
Disabling the windows firewall helped, my dl speed went from 150 kbs to 2.9 mbs as it should be.
