The Ebonheart Vanguard are the forefront in the Pact's armies. Formed shortly after the Pact itself, the joint forces of Nord, Dunmer, and Argonian came together and provided some of the best Mages, Warriors, and Assassins that they had to offer, intending to create an unrivaled fighting force to protect the interests of their alliance. Being formed by these three races however, doesn't make recruits unique to these races.The joint tactical knowledge and unique skills that the three races had helped the Vanguard develop a very strong way of fighting, making them a formidable foe. Most of the time, they are deployed wherever the Pact needs their strong position on the battlefield most. It may be in the heart of Cyrodiil, or in the farthest reaches of Morrowind. For the Vanguard, it is never certain what the next day will bring.

We are a military guild with a mid to heavy RP focus. We will delve into lots of different types of events and roleplay, varying from clashes in Cyrodiil in RP-PvP, DMed events somewhere else, or enjoying a relaxing evening in the local tavern. Outside RP, we have a keen interest in all aspects of the game, whether its helping each other quest, destroying our enemies in PvP, or jumping into PvE and undertaking dungeons, we do it all!

We have no age limit, but please be aware that RP and Guild chat may sometimes contain mature themes. Not only this, but while we enjoy having a laugh, any immaturity should be kept to an absolute minimum. We also hope that within the guild, you will treat other members with respect and as friends, apart from that, have a generally good time!

The ranks are split into three different sections, Magic users, Scouts, and Fighters. Each rank may also have which will exist only IC, for example, someone who holds the rank "Vanguard", might be known more officially as "Sergeant". These are purely the rank in their most basic form. As in game only four ranks are available, each of the "tiers" represent each of the four ranks, for example, the first three ranks would all be OOCly the same rank. The note system will be used to keep track of which one of the three ranks that player holds.


Commander
The Commander is in charge of all forces serving under the Vanguard, and ultimately everyone answers to him. The position is currently held by Bjornar Fire-Beard, a Nord.

Arch-Mage
The leader of all Magic forces in the Vanguard, answers directly to the Commander. Currently held by the Dunmer Mage Salvani Hlavuni.

Spymaster
The Spymaster is in control of all scouting forces, and again answers directly to the Commander. On equal footing with the Arch-Mage. Rank is held by Gnivrog gro-Sugrik, an Orc.

Lieutenant
The Lieutenant is like a second in command to the Commander, and leads the Vanguard and Infantry most of the time. Held by Bjornar's younger brother, Joric Fire-Beard.

Tier 2 Ranks -

Mage
Mages are the most adept magic users within the
Vanguard, having mastered the art to a high level.

Outrider
Outriders are the most skilled assassins, scouts,
and information gatherers the Vanguard has to offer.

Vanguard
The best fighters and warriors that the Vanguard has, typically
they are placed at the front of the main force on the battlefield,
as the name suggests.

Tier 1 Ranks -

Spellcaster
Basic magic users, they may assist the Arch-Mage in tasks that he wishes
completed, or conduct basic research.

Scout
Scouts are sent ahead of the main force to gather information about
the enemy's position, strength, or movements. Sometimes they are sent on sabotage missions.

Infantry
The basic ground troop deployed on the battlefield, used mostly in light skirmishes,
and as guards at our current base.
