Hi, I have horrible download speeds at home but was able to download and install the full files at work. I transferred the installed files onto my laptop and the game plays just fine but when I click onto the shortcut the game launches immediately into the login screen rather than the launcher. Does this mean I wont be able to install future patches without installing them on my work pc and moving them again?
I installed the launcher at home hoping I could just cancel the install, move the installed files to the directory and have the launcher check that the files in place but it doesnt acknowledge them. any help?
Thanks in advance.

You have to have the launcher folder too. 2 Folders get put into the Zenimax Online folder. One called "Launcher" one called "The Elder Scrolls Online EU" Or a none EU version.
I'm guessing you have just the 1 folder and are running eso.exe. You need to get the launcher. Fortunately you can do it.

Go download the game and run the install, then run the launcher. As soon as it starts downloading the entire game, quit the launcher, go into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online" Or whatever directory you installed the launcher at, then drag your Main folder inside there. So inside "Zenimax Online" you have 2 folders, "Launcher" and "The Elder Scrolls Online EU", or none EU version.
When you run it, it might check all the files but it won't take too long.

Not as bad as bringing your whole tower to work and updating everything.... but I am personal friends with the owner of the company I work for and can do what I want. I can update and download my whole steam library of over 200 games in about 2 days on my work connection

Yeah if I tell security first (they monitor all downloads) and it's not NSFW then we can download just about anything :P

Thanks! I hadn't thought about that. When I downloaded the new launcher it didn't do anything but when I transferred the original from work it updated just fine.

I just tried this after getting a new SSD. Worked like a charm.
