Can I have that problem, please? Mine is the opposite: once contents are claimed, mail can't be deleted (generates a UI error and then non-responsive thereafter). Hireling emails delete properly, but the rest have been persistent for a day or two.
If you're using the No Thank You addon, disable it - somehow it interferes with deleting mail, and no telling when (or if) it will get updated.

Thanks for that insight, but it's not one of the addons I use. As far as I'm aware, the only installed addon which touches mail is Dolgubon's.
My mail auto empty after 6 days now. It's a massive downgrade. I need more time.
Does it help if I subscribe ESO+? For how long can we keep the mail by subscribing ESO+?

according to the patch notes the expire timers on some mail changed, these values do not change regardless if you are subbed or not
- Information-only System Mail: 7 days
- Hireling Mail: 7 days
- Activity Finder Rewards: 7 days
- Rewards for the Worthy: 7 days
- Guild Trader Purchases: 7 days
- Guild Trader Sales/Expirations: 14 days
- Weekly Leaderboard Rewards: 14 days
- Promotional rewards, such as Twitch Drops: 14 days to a maximum of 180 days
all of those are system generated mails
mails sent from another player i believe still have 30 days before they expire

I don't understand the change. I think it was way better before. 7 days isn't very useful.
I hope they give us an option to buy more time for mail in the crown. That would be a nice way to solve the problem if it's not too expensive.

Does in come in a later update?
