Progress Prevention Bug: Quest Relics of the Three Princes & Hold the Line

Main story quest "Relics of the Three Princes" leads to Investigate Feldagard Keep. Upon arrival at the location marked I see Tribune Alea Idolus which she gives the quest "Hold the Line" and tells me to go to the Marketplace Overlook. Going to that location nothing happens. The marker for Relics of the Three princes is still at the entrance to Feldagard Keep leading up the hill. Killing monsters in Feldagard keep isn't progressing anything. Both quest stuck and not progressing, ideas?

I have also tried abandoning both quest multiple times and same result. Logging out / in doesn't make any differences either.

have to actually clear the POI for the feldagard keep, which is doing the quest you get from tribune alea

Update: I literally just got Hold the line to progress. The actual marker to progress is just a bit North of where its marked. Marker looks like its in the middle of the market area, going on the other side of the wooden spike wall to the brick wall progresses Hold the Line. Working on the quest now. I suspect its going to work.

I'm dealing with this messy quest transition as well. I had to abandon and do Hold the Line... now I don't know where to get the Three Princes quest again. Anyone know?

i turned up at the indicated spot and there's nothing here but a damned horse.

this isn't the first quest that's been poorly marked and/or missing components in gold road.

seems like some quests i spend more time looking for the markers or items to advance the quest than i do actually questing.

as for the three princes, can you go back to the wood elf's townhouse and get the quest again if you've dropped it?

i don't know, but i'm afraid i'm going to have to find out.


update: fwiw, i simply had to reload and the tribune turned up in the indicated quest area. so far, so good, got inside the keep to assist in the defense.

got lucky.

So, I had to abandon, but the Tribune was with me and led me to do Hold the Line. Once that was done the rest of the quest went fine. I'm now stuck on Ilthias fury. See main page of forums for more annoyance

Every other quest is just bugged. The whole mapping of the quests is horrible. I'm in a location it show me to exit i exit and then it shows me to enter where i left and then it show the right place to go.

The marker and instructions are totally wrong.
Go down the road, to the left, around the left side of the rubble.

Look for another horse with a man next to it. It's quite a flat area.
Do that quest.

Then things will start coming right.

i actually have the opposite problem with the relics of the three princes. i had completed felguard keep before finishing first quest and now i cant progress at all because nothing is at the marker indicator. no horse. no npcs. only enemies in the area. I've tried going back to boregons house, leaving and coming back, relogging. nothing works. i sent in a bug report but there seems to be no news on whether or not they are going to fix these issues and if they cannot fix this by the end of the month, zos will not be receiving any more money from me.

OK, finally got it to work. On the overlook there is a wagon with two wheels down and on it's edge. Walk to it and the quest marker pops and you can then talk to her.

May 26, 2025 - Ran into this mess today. The earlier comments above helped... what appears to be happening is that the Hold the Line quest is, in fact, the correct initial destination for the Relics of the Three Princes quest (first event after obtaining such)... and not the marked horse standing alone that we are finding. The confusion, I believe, is that there is but one quest here. The quest "Hold the LIne" should not exist... *Grin* In the end, I ended up doing one quest at Feldagard; exact name optional. Enjoy!
