What the what is going oin with my mail in game

Did i really just destroy and not collect my mats from the mail ba=ecause someone changed the mail shortcuts on gamepad mode without telling me?

It threw me for a spin as well and I'm on PC. I'm receiving my daily crafting attachments with memorized keystrokes and was suddenly asked if I really wanted to delete them. After some confusion I finally saw the new setting.
I do like the QoL improvement the change brings but ZOS botched the delivery (again). ZOS still hasn't learned when you add something new that changes the game behavior you do not default to the new setting. You should leave the default as the existing function and let the players decide when to activate the new function. If there is a concern about players finding it then put up a one time message box highlighting the new feature but don't force a game play change with no in-game warning.6 -

NeoniKa✭✭✭My mail is a mess since the last update. All my new mail is appearing in the bottom of all my messages instead of properly on the top as before. How do I fix it? Any ideas?0 -

But I don't delete the mail immediately. I always need to scroll down to the end of all messages to see my last message. It doesn't make any sense. The last message should be always on top, obviously. I really don't understand the reason to create this problem on something that was working perfectly.8 -

It's most likely to encourage people to go through their mail and clean it out. Or, to make sure you know when you're going to lose mail, one of those is most likely the reason. TAntiquities Addict0 -

I still don't understand. In all messages systems that I ever use from computers, games, software to phones, the last message is always on top. It's so obvious. Basically, they just created the need for another addon. I really hope someone finds a way to fix this.

✭✭✭✭✭I'm also playing with gamepad UI and was doing a double take when opening the mail because one second it was there amd the next one it was gone and I didn't even see what it was
Good to know it's a new setting option and that it can be turned off. 1 -
