Guard was able to chain pull me out of going into the outlaws refuge

Guard should not be able to chain pull me away when I already started to interact with outlaw refuge entrance. Should be completely immune.

    That's a heavy cover for that secret entrance. Takes time to lift it up and you're vulnerable while doing so.

    I could understand taking damage but as soon as you interact with it they should not be able to pull you yards away from it or cc you like they can with a regular door, that's kinda the point of the outlaws refuges

    Anyway... latency. Can't avoid it. The internet is fast, but it is not instantaneous. Neither is the server response. The player isn't, either! There is a fraction of a second, which is longer with poor latency, where the guard chain pulls before the door is activated, but the player doesn't find out about it until after they think they did it.

    Edit: There is also latency in how long it takes the brain to realize something is happening, which may not be that much shorter than the server latency.

    I've also had this annoying discrepancy between what the screen shows me and what's actually occurring in-game, all the time I've been playing the game, but that's due to my location partly (see my signature). I've arrived at farming nodes and started interacting with them, only to get the message "someone else is using this", even though the other player I noticed appeared to get to the node after me. That's a classic example of server lag.

    I can remember one time when I saw a chest in the distance and ran to it, only to have ii vanish before my eyes. It reappeared when I got further away, so I approached it again only to have it vanish when I got close. I could step forward, step back, and watch it come and go. :smile: That was probably a client problem, though.

    I'd say the chain pull was already in effect (and considered "hitting") prior to the server recognizing your interaction with the Refuge entrance. And especially lately, I'm seeing all sorts of micro-delays in interaction effects.
    PC NA Yes, I use add-ons.
