New sets for the new chapter

Are any of these sets going to match the damage of an Oakensorc build or a Beam Arcanist?
If not - why release them?

The devs probably had a good idea with them but the ESO community tends to copy the builds from streamers. So we all end up using 3-4 builds and grinding to collect 7-8 sets.
Which I really don't mind, but I think it's a shame there are no voices from the devs on their ideas with these sets and how to use them better than Oakensorc.

Just as a reference - last year's overland and crafted sets are not present in any of the meta builds coming from streamers. Why were they released at all?

Also, none of these sets will work in Ravenwatch Cyrodiil. Basically useless to release them.

Many, many people don’t care about guides or meta sets. Many people care about their own class / build fantasy and fun. It makes zero sense to release new sets only when they surpass the old ones which would result in a neverending race for the next best set (which means four times a year).

I‘m not saying that a set meta for several years is a great thing either, but when people are so focused on just chasing the meta, they are part of the problem. I myself couldn’t care less about meta sets or builds and I have more fun in the game. Maybe I’m not playing as optimized, but my personal enjoyment outweighs something a DPS addon tells me to do.

Less meta, more fun.

i dont know a single person that plays in ravenwatch, its not useless to release new sets because you cant use them in 1 dead campaign lol

True that meta is not on the mind of many. A lot of players look for good builds that are off-meta on purpose. Being optimal is not a priority. Even then, what is meta for one type of gameplay is not meta for another such as PvP or AvA.
