PLEASE MAKE GUILD FINDER SEARCHABLE BY GUILD NAME

It should be obvious why this is needed, but just in case:
Many recruitment ads, discords, etc ask us to apply in guild finder and it's a PITA to dig through every single listing for every single category the guild *might* be under just to find it. Also say you see someone's tabard or a guild trader you like, and want to apply to that specific one but don't have the link anymore. Same thing as above.

A nice little text search where you can type in the name would be just the thing.

It really needs to be a thing. It's sad seeing someone who went inactive for a while for whatever reasons, and thus was removed from a guild they liked due to inactivity, going around in zone chat asking if anyone can re-invite them to so-and-so guild in the desperate hope of finding a guild member who can help them out since you can't just... you know... search a dang name in Guild Finder to easily apply.

On PC you can use addon for that. I think it's Votan's search box that does that.

Agreed, it's a bit ridiculous that we have to use web sites such as ESO Hub to find guilds, then copy their links into the game's chat box, instead of doing all this in-game.

Heck, I want this for a slightly different reason.

Occasionally I'll find a Guild Trader that tends to price items I'm prone to be looking for in a very buyer friendly range, and I'll shop there almost exclusively. But if a different guild takes over that trader, I'd so love it if I could quickly look them up in the guild finder and see where their new stall is.

Awesome idea and I fully agree with it. I don't understand why the game hasn't had this from the start, GuildFinder is such a awful thing.

It's pretty mind-boggling that this still isn't a feature in 2024.

There is a lot of other QoL needed for guilds and guild management, but this seems like it would be very low-hanging fruit.

OP’s request is another basic need in the game that has been requested before but not added for some reason.

I also like this idea. Add the location of the guild to the search results. The only place I know it exists is in the guild MoTD but I can only see locations for the guilds I have joined.

It is not as awesome as it looks.
Guild finder don't list all guilds so when you use that search addon you still must click between categories for other results.

Actually, it's already there. If you click on the guild preview, it tells you which trader they have and where. The problem is finding the specific guild you're looking for.

Agree. it is annoying to know the name of a guild y0ou are interested in, but guild finder won't help you find it.

This would be a great addition.

Some Xbox guilds use the min/max CP fields as a way to search for their guilds. Set both to a specific # and tell potential members to set the filter for CP to that #.

Actually, it's already there. If you click on the guild preview, it tells you which trader they have and where. The problem is finding the specific guild you're looking for.

OK, I have only used the guild finder once or twice since I saw how limited it is. Thanks for the info.

If a recruitment ad is telling you to apply, they should also have a link in the ad directly to their listing in the guild finder. It's the yellow part of the message. If they aren't, they're shooting themselves in the foot. They can also post the link in dscord, and you'll just have to copy it and paste it in the game's chatbox.

But aside from that, a search field would be really useful in the guild finder.
