Anyone else had this issue? Before the maintenance this week it was quite stable. Since then I’ve had 5 random crashes across 3 days

This has been going on on PS-EU for a while now. Since the previous update (so not this week's update). But I personally experienced it for the first time yesterday and two days ago. But members of my guild have experienced it even in the week before.

For these crashes we recommend the following troubleshooting as a starting point.

What do I do if The Elder Scrolls Online is crashing on Xbox?

@ZOS_Bill with all due respect those options are unlikely to fix anything

The game crashes due to code and sever messages - Not anything to do with the cache

If if was the cache or something local, it would be repeatablt crashing at same point on same actions.

Whilst I don’t deny that having a clear cache/memory will only help - it will not fix the actual problem

Incidently, today on my guild at least 20 people hsve been complaining of crashing at various points . That in is telling me it’s not the cache.

If I was a guessing man , I’d say it was database lockups or timeouts .

I suggest you put some tracing on the messaging between client and server.

    [snip]

Here's some insight from a long time ESO player who has played for years both on console and Xcloud streaming. Every new major content update brings new bugs. Also, this Gold Road update is enormously popular ( especially with the spell customization feature ) , so tons of people will be logging on . I'm talking players that hate the game and abandoned it since Summerset. I've even ran into players that have just NOW returned after giving up YEAR ONE. so Gold Road is going to be a MASSIVE tsunami of bugs and server lag. You have players coming back that havent playerd in 9 to almost 10 friggin years. They finally saw the huge content changes including the spell customization and are logging in like crazy.
    [snip]
Oddly enough, people are in fact coming back to this crazy game and they want to see how all this works out.
So brace yourself for some crazy lag. Don't even think about going to Cyrodil LOL, it will be a friggin dumpster fire.
But it's also fun to log in anyways and see how it all melts down.
Lastly...the devs at ZOS and the 3rd party temp workers they hire....probably have experience by now with all the insanity of the "mega server", so I actually am hopefully they will fix things in a timely manor. After all, u gotta have smooth game experience for all those new and returning players . Can't have them unable to access the Crown Store 😉🤣
