Mount Noise Needs Its Own Volume Slider

There are many, many mounts that are not enjoyable because of their intrusive noises. This can all be solved with a volume slider just for mount noise. That way you guys at ZOS can make them as unique and interesting sounding as you would like, while players can choose to adjust the volume to their liking.

Yes, this may be a first world problem, but at the same time, as a paying customer, I should be able to enjoy my Crown Crate mounts and not be relegated to old senches because they make the least noise.

I actually totally agree with this, I have a select few mounts that I love (namely the fox ones) but they make such a shrill shriek when you jump with them that it is just.... not worth using lol. purchase regret came very quick for the one i bought, and the gifted one I politely tolerated the sounds to show I appreciated it, but big oooophs.

Same with non-combat pets. Get one I like the looks of, equip it, hear some annoying sound effect on a frequent loop, and feel immediate disappointment about purchase.

I love the aesthetics for wolves and gryphons, like the most recent Radiant Apex, but I really despise the sounds of both those animals, hence why I never select them and I gave up my interest in them, saving my Seals/Gems instead.

It would be appreciated if we could silence them without affecting other sounds' volume.

Edit: I was referring to the "roar" not the animation sound. I very much enjoy the animation sound for the new gryphon; it's its "chirp" that sounds terrible to my ears.

The Jubilee Mount makes a noise after the jingle, I know it is supposed to be firecrackers or something but it sounds like something quite different whenever I hear it

yeah, sometimes when you ride over uneven landscape and the mount does constant little jumps
- everytime the character screams and the mount roars - you are like: omg, shut up you both^^

Yes, that’s when I really wish we could alter how much noise and flashing we see from other players! I detest the meteoric mounts.

I never ride Indrik reindeers. They have really annoying sounds, for me.

Yes, I stick with the free lion one we got some time ago. It has a soft little “roar” but is quiet after mount. Some are very loud.

Not being able to preview the sounds of the mount while riding is the #1 reason I don’t go for apex mounts with real money anymore. It’s also disappointing using endeavors on one with a bad sound. Some of them are bad enough to never use again.

That only occurs when you change riding speed, so it's easy enough to reduce that yelling: change speed less often.

I think we need more toggles. There are a lot of game features that are making forum members dissatisfied with parts of the game, and in some of these cases, adding a toggle for a feature would actually solve the problem. e.g. grim focus glow, extra-flashy special effects on some mounts, fixing the hide others' followers toggle, etc.

ZoS has made 2 billion over 10 years, I'll let you all math that out and decide if a few more toggles could be in the budget.

This is a +1 from me, for sure. Indrik & Fox mount sounds are very unappealing.

There's always going to be something someone doesn't like. There's no such thing as a piece of art that would please everyone. It would take too much time to make toggles for all of it. There are so many mounts that I don't think disliking mounts sounds is a good reason for one.

My Argonian’s first intended mount was the Hearthfire Kagouti, but the summoning noise was unbearable! I’d just wanted a Kagouti that wasn’t pink! 😑

Friends without maxed riding speed keep asking me to use my two seater spider, but the sound it makes actually gives me headaches after a while...

I would definitely like this. At the very least they could tone down the biggest offenders. The Sunflare Iron Wolf comes to mind.
