[Suggestion] Reduce the price of the assistant if already own the same type of assistant

We can see that TESO has released many new assistants in recent years. They all look great, but for players who already have an assistant with the same features, most wouldn't be willing to pay the same price for the same assistant with a different look. 5,000 crowns is not a trivial amount of money.

It would be a good measure to allow players who already have the same feature assistant to lower its price when they buy the same assistant again. This would help players who like to have more variety in their assistants to complete their collection, and for zos more players would be willing to pay for it.

Actually this would be nice, make them 1500 tops. I already have several of the banker and merchant and I'm simply not spending 10k crowns to get anymore when the only difference is the appearance. All I'd be getting is a skin and that's not worth 5k by a long shot.

I will add to this. Without putting a price on it, I'd be buying more assistants if they cost less after I bought the first one. I'd say they were equivalent to a fancy houseguest, crown-wise, because once you already have the function, the only additional value is the skin.

Considering the price of more expensive houseguests, as well as mounts, which like assistants offer the same functionality but with different appearance, etc., I think half price, or 2500 Crowns would be reasonable if one already has an assistant of that type unlocked. I would really like to get Xyn, but 5000 Crowns… I love my Alfiq assistants, but Xyn would be great for my arcanists and Apocrypha-themed houses…

This has been one of my suggestions for a while too. 1500 crowns for another "skin" of the assistants, and I'd happily buy a few more like the flame atro banker or the dregs dealer

I'm usually defensive of ZOS's pricing models but in all honesty this is probably a good example of a time it makes sense to reduce the pricing on something.

By charging all players the same price for the assistants they are not segmenting the market. The economic utility of a second assistant is far lower for players that already have an assistant, so they have much lower willingness to buy. You can easily segment this demographic out and grab a larger portion of the revenue triangle if you scaled the price for second and third assistants to their reduced utility.

They should definitely show as a skin if you already have one and with a much reduced price. I'd buy them all if this were the case, but at 5k each with no additional utility? Oh hell no.
