Extreme Lag on PS5

Is there something going on with the servers right now? PSNA? I just had to call a prog early because of constant freezing and skipping. I have word from a couple other teams that's happening to them too. It was happening to everyone in the trial. We were in vSS, I also know it's happening in vDSR.

Something is definitely going on. We had a wasted prog tonight with freezes like this. It would seem ok for a few min and then freeze again. We kept thinking it was better but it never stabilized from us. 8pmEST- 920pmEST. We called it early because we couldn't make any forward progression.

I want to clarify, I was not the only one freezing. Many people in the group froze simultaneous to me. We had a 8 person dc and lost the ability to clip a lot of the worst freezes.
4 of us restarted our ps5's before the run and 2 people cycled their modem and routers but had the same experience.

Hopefully this is an extremely short and quickly resolved issue and doesnt last a month like the last one. We have had to cancel a ton of progs due to god awful game/server performance since update 41 dropped.
Did microsoft layoff the zenimax ps5na server too?
Maybe with the money they're saving they can refund AT LEAST a month of eso plus for all ps5 eso plus members for making the game unplayable.

This is still happening, though not to as many people at once as it did on the 9th.
Any comment about this at all? Reasons for why it happened? Steps to fix it and make sure it doesn't keep happening? I'm once again feeling like a pretty serious issue is being ignored. Raids have been called due to severe lag in the last week and that should not be acceptable to the dev team.

The lag is back today. Would really appreciate it if we could get an update on what is causing this.

Edited to add: a pov is coming. Inability to bar swap, extreme lag spikes. Same problems we had weeks ago are back.

Can't wait for the new dlc to drop! Shadow of the Erdtree, lets go! Was playing this old laggy clunker from 2015, can't remember what it was called. Was fun until all my friends got tired of the unresolved performance issues and moved on to other games. Stoked that this teams got it together though. Nothing like trying to cope your way through an unplayable game. They even charge subscription fees to those wanting the full experience, regardless of reported issues that persist for months/years.Crazy times back then for sure.

POVs of how bad things were yesterday. These were from the same 2 hour gaming session. The first video illustrates how things were yesterday really well. The 2nd video resulted in a DC. This was not just happening to one person; another group member was also having serious freezing and lag. So it was not the internet of either player.
We had to abandon that earthen root hm because it was impossible for the tank to handle the cone mechanic when he was randomly freezing.

There needs to be some customer outreach here to advise on the status of these issues before we need to evaluate whether its time to pursue other avenues for relief.

There's another thread created last weekend with players from Xbox/NA reporting the same issues, so it definitely seems to be universal. It definitely does not however, seem to be a priority to acknowledge or provide a resolution for...

People are exhausted from unresolved performance issues, workarounds and an overall disregard for communication. I wish it was truly understood how slim the margins are for retaining/losing the playerbase right now. Been here since console release and I can say with confidence the morale has never been lower. If the next Update releases with a myriad of bugs and servers remain busted I can assure you that a significant amount of people will move on to functioning games. Your servers are unplayable, fix them. Or don't... whatever. At the very least you should acknowledge those that take the time to report these issues. In it's current state, the game/servers are broken.

People are still freezing doing things like writs and random normals this evening. @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno Can we PLEASE got some acknowledgement of the issue and an estimated fix? Is this being looked at?

Edited to add that two hours later I had to call my prog early because of 5 people with extreme lag. This is so incredibly frustrating.

Im done messing around @ZOS_Icy @ZOS_Bill @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_Bill. What the heck is going on. The game is unplayably skippy, laggy and the rubberbanding makes it extremely hard for 12 people to get a no death. We do trifectas. I cant play how i want and this is not the quality of gameplay, nor the level of customer service I paid to subscribe to.
Since Zenimax refuses to deliver the product i purchased. I would like a refund for everyone's ps5 eso+ dating back to the launch of update 41.
I would settle for months of free eso plus added to our current subscriptions for time equal to the launch of update41 to whenever you decide to get around to fixing the game.
Look forward to your response in July.

The PS/NA servers once again seem to be in some form of crisis. Beginning on Monday, the game has experienced so many issues, it has become virtually unplayable. Within moments of getting into content, the game would freeze so hard for a couple of people that you couldn't see what mechanics were happening, and then it would speed to catch up. Tonight we had 4 people freeze so bad we had to abandon the first instance of Sunspire for our Godslayer prog. We left, disbanded, reset the instance, and had the same issue again. It doesn't effect everyone, but for the effected player, the game is unplayable. What is going on, and what is being done to resolve this issue before the game dies?

For anyone that's just been following this thread, just wanted to let you know that there are multiple other threads regarding server performance across the platforms. Some here in bug reports, the largest threads in the general ESO discussion. Since the first week of May reports on the lag/ping have been arriving, and only Kevin has responded on the forums. Twice. Once to acknowledge and ask that we submit clips of when it occurs, the other to ask us to submit a ticket if we can. Rich responded to a reddit threat several hours ago saying there been experiencing DDoS attacks over several weeks and are investigating other performance related issues. So just in case you haven't seen the other threads yet here on the forums...that's the rub. Hopefully that puts everyone's concerns to bed and satisfies any and all questions. I know personally I feel completely reassured knowing everything is being remedied swiftly and with transparency. Can hardly wait for Gold Road, which reminds me that I should go purchase it soon in case any issues arise in regards to downloading, you never know what can happen as we are witness to now. Not to mention I'd be kicking myself for missing out on all those preorder bonuses. Definitely getting the Deluxe version.

I hate to say it but it's been 2 months of some of the worst raid performance I've ever seen in this game.

We had practically 3 weeks of progs that were either nearly impossible to clear/had to be cancelled at the end of March and all the way through the anniversary event because you couldn't get through a 2 hour prog session without having 15+ disconnects. I was helping a friend's group with their PB at that time and they ended the prog due to performance issues and moved their guild to PC (not like the PC servers are doing much better performance wise at the moment.)

We had the random 4-5 second freezes at the beginning of May that lasted a while, went away for like a week, and now it's back again, with additional random disconnects and even menu lag.

It has been killing a lot of my motivation to play, In the last month I've barely logged in outside of a single prog.

Hey Gas, this is good news i suppose, however it doesnt change the fact that the product i am paying for isnt being deliverd.
Picture paying for a full bathroom remodel, and then everytime you go into the bathroom you get kicked out after getting ready to use it or hop in the shower. Then after a month of ignoring your calls, the contractors says, "my bad, we'll get that fixed in 2 weeks but youre still paying me full price." Then, after fixing it, your toilet wont flush or it flushes 7 times in a row and you dont control when. But hey, at least you can use it. Then, that same contractor says, while the toilet is still broken, "yeah we're not going to do any type of discounting or refunding or freebies but would you like to put all of the money down up front for a kitchen remodel?"
My answer is no. I will not be pre-paying for what will be a broken kitchen.

Any updates on what's going on and how/when it will be fixed? The silence on this is upsetting. There was lag and disconnects tonight for another prog group I'm in as well.

Very disappointed that there was no communication about this at all. The lag issues have improved, but we still have no idea what was going on or if it is likely to happen again. The game feels very unstable lately.
