The Antiquarian Gallery, that I don't use as a gallery but as a normal home. I love and need mountains, green and water, and this one has everything with even a waterfall, plus I do love house made of woods.

I have two favourites: Cliffshade for the music and general ambience, and the Psijic Villa for its aesthetics. Those are the two I've decorated the most.

The Rimmen inn room is also good for its proximity to wayshrine and no additional doors.

No. Basically set up an open area with some bubblers and sweet rolls. The used some of the Khajiit tents to make some more private areas and the house interior is for a high roller party. Multiple bubblers, plenty of rolls and some guards to keep out the riff raff.

Mathiisen Manor (gold purchasable): Love the Auridon aesthetic as an un-ruined interpretation of the Ayleid ruins seen in Oblivion (game not realm).

Hall of the Lunar Champion (free with Elsweyr chapter) : It wasn't until I poshed up (got rid of all the skanky wood) the little house on the hill section that this one completely won me over but once I got there the whole place is just fab. I haven't completely finished decorating - the grind for recipes was brutal - but I will and it will be amazeballs.

    gi9m7fkb7e6z.png

Tower of Unutterable Truths (crown store) : Wow. I wouldn't change a thing. Except me missing it.

Moon Sugar Meadow (crown store) : Haven't bought it yet but I'm constantly tempted and if I don't cave before hand will almost certainly buy it the moment I finish furnishing Hall of the Lunar Champion.

And I've always loved all of the Bosmer homes except for the built in bones and leather. While I know they're lore appropriate that look is definitely not for me. I've always wish they'd stuck to the concept art for Bosmer homes and just given us wood.

Many of the game's other homes are fine for what they are but generally too ordinary (i.e. real world) for my tastes, though there are a few others (like the Druid one) I might buy if I ever catch them on sale.

I like Proudspire Manor. It a good size and I have set up the upstairs as a area for my main and downstairs a tribute area and suite for Sharp.

    The tiny balcony decorates nicely.

I also like Lucky Cat for the lovely terrace and a reasonable to decorate inside.

Tough to pick just one. If I had to choose, then my first non-staple house, Hunding's Palatial Hall, as a Redguard and DC main. Still my primary! The outdoor courtyard is absolutely perfect for a crafting area, wish Hunding's had more spots so I could add more knicknacks and plants. My favorite things in a house are flat walls and not extremely dark, and not just huge for the sake of it, and outdoor porches or balconies are cool. Good wayshrine is a bonus haha. Also shoutout to the Sugar Bowl Suite, Twin Arches, and Cyrodiilic Jungle House for all the teleports.

I also like Autumn's Gate, Snugpod, Alinor Crest Townhouse, Cliffshade, Lucky Cat Landing, Ebonheart Chateau, Pantherfang Chapel, Shadow Queen's Labyrinth, Willowpond Haven, Enchanted Snow Globe Home, Exorcised Coven's Cottage to round out a top favorites. Would still love a small/medium druidic cottage. ;)

    my favourite homes are:

    ● Sweetwater Cascades,
i love Blackwood and houses with lots of green and water. it is also lovely that it is in Elsweyr too. and it was my first notable after Hall of the Lunar Champion.

    ● Willowpond Haven,
for the same reasons as above. but in this case it's in Black Marsh technically too which is also lovely.
and it has the Pack Merchant and Bank buildings from Leyawiin, i wanted to see the upper floors of the bank ever since Blackwood released as it's such a nice building.
i made that building in Willowpond into an inn kinda.

    ● Fogbreak Lighthouse,
love that it is in the Systres Archipelago and has exits to both High isle and Galen!
which are also two of my favourite zones.

Plus the ships and ornaugs are so cool to see.
it is funny that the lighthouse is bigger on the inside with it using the Tor Draioch interior but that just makes it feel like a magic tower which i like.

    ● Gladesong Arboretum,
i love the druidic houses in this house and it's nice to have a waterfall there too.

    ● Princely Dawnlight Palace,
got it recently and i love that it is at the water.
i made some docks at the end of the water staircase immediately when i got it.

i also love Highhallow Hold, Fair Winds, Shadow Queen's Labyrinth, Colossal Aldmeri Grotto, Pantherfang Chapel, Water's Edge, Water's Edge, and the upcoming Merryvine Estate.

It's a tie between Cyrodilic Jungle House and Sleek Creek House because they're practical and convenient.

But when housing was new in 2017, I decorated the Daggerfall Overlook with a friend. It's what I put the most work into, but I never use it.

My current favourite is Gorinir Estate in Grahtwood, in fact it's the first player house I've spent time decorating, so I'm a definite newbie at this. For a few years, I was just collecting items (mainly from antiquities), but I got inspired by the current housing "event" and decided to properly decorate a house. It's still a work in progress. My main character is a bosmer and now "lives" there. :)

If you right click the image and show in a new tab, you can see more detail: it's my screen resolution, which is 2560x1600.

I created a misty area in one spot near the bosmer pods, and also 2 bridges between parts of the cluster of 3 pods, covered with snow lily vines on both sides. Then just because the view's good up there, I carefully placed a bosmer chair on top of one of the pods (to the right in the image if you look carefully), and it's still interactive. I've done some work on other areas in the house's courtyard, but this image doesn't show them all.

[edit] The 2nd photo shows a bit more, including the chair I mentioned:

Proudspire Manor in Solitude. It definitely has some nostalgic reasons, because that house was my greatest desire, when I played Skyrim (a century ago...lol).
For me this house has the perfect size. But I like it also, because it's near to the shrine, near to the crafting area, near to the outlaw refuge and the quest givers.
This one has no regrets *Raz

    For me hands down:;

Princely Dawnlight Palace (it is for me probably the most developler-side caringly decorated house. Have you seen the ornamental reliefs everywhere? Also I love basically the Andalusian style in general from which it seems to be inspired)

The Antiquary Gallery (my first house to be finished and will therefore be always my first love :D )

Grand Topal Hideaway (this is my dream away resort. I just love listening to the sea)

It's one of the only houses i'd actually want in real life too.
With the Two houses together, it's kind of like, a family living together (grandparents, parents and kids)

(If only it had more decoration spots, considering it has 2 houses)

The inside of the houses aren't too big and the outside is just right. But even so the decor item limit!!! ugh hinders decorating in the way a "real" home would be.

    Autumns Gate
Simply because it was my first house in ESO and I haven't touched it's decor since I did it in 2019. It's small, its cozy, it has an outside and an inside and a fireplace.

What else makes a great house? Unique-ness.
Just like in real life, even two houses side by side by the same architect same design, will see a different sunset/sunrise. Because of their position in the natural world. Willowpond has that feature, the "world" itself, hugs the house, the house has view of the land and sky.

And let's not forget the gorgeous landscape decorations that come with the house, glowing fireflies, willow trees, lake, waterfalls, the night sky, the sunrise view, etc.

But again, the main issue with 100% of all ESO Housing, decoration limit. I don't understand the technical limitations that hinder the playerbase from having 50-100 more decoration slots per house. But I hope it can be fixed.

If willowpond had 1000 ESO+ Decor limit, it would be the perfect amount.
Non ESO + could still retain the same amount, but with ESO + the playerbase shouldn't be limited in such a way.

ESO+ should atleast give more than 300+ decor item limit increase for these huge houses.

Autumns Gate could get +50 more or 100 more in addition with ESO +
Willowponds max limit could go to 900 from 700 with ESO +

It would drastically increase ESO + sales too, remember, the ....
HOUSING/DECOR IS ENDGAME comments and videos all over the internet for various games?
    FASHION IS ENDGAME etc

ZoS, you're missin out on hundreds of new ESO + subscriptions from a playerbase that mostly doesn't visit forums (because they're busy decorating and questing in game like carebears)
by not increasing the decoration limit for ESO+ more than it currently is.

Look at the other games like FF14 (Major fashion/costumes/housing endgame), Black Desert Online (make miiiillliioooons off of costumes and housing packs), even Lord of the Rings, has a gigantic playerbase that is focused on housing, owning neighborhoods, buying every decor item etc.

It's a whole new world of money and a doorway to future changes (like a domino effect of money pouring in to the dev team) by increasing decor limit by 100-300 on home types for ESO + members.

Check the stats and data on your internal systems to verify. <3

I can't decorate for the life of me. I simply do not have the patience (and I also find the housing tools somewhat lacking, but that's beside the point). However, I simply do love the Grand Psijic Villa, which I was lucky enough to get as a reward for the Summerfall event. I cannot grow tired of the vista.

    I have three.

Gardner House in Stormhaven is my go to port/convenience house as I'm a DC person at heart and it's the fastest turn in for master writs available I've found. Little pricey and if I were smarter/less stubborn I'd put my GM tables in there for the ultimate in master writ dominance, especially since the bank is just around the corner and I store excess writs in guild banks.

The Fair Winds is my favourite in terms of personal taste/synergy, being a water type I love the idea of ship life and having your own personal galleon is great, and the bonus of having 4 exits out of the house is great.

But my a #1 is definitely Sweetwater Cascades. I spent the most time trying to figure out which house would be my first foray into crown housing and this was it. As a big fan of symmetry the house interior was amazing and the outside is great. It's probably the only house I've ever fully decorated from unfurnished to max slots.
I even made a little wedding venue
