The entire Vampire skill line is already in shambles, so for someone to go out of their way to progress to stage four vampirism AND wear the Vampire Lord's set, only to have the mere base cost of this skill mitigated seems irrational. The maximum spell damage you can gain from this skill is 400 with the Simmering Frenzy morph, and yet, I'm left micromanaging my health to such a huge extent fort such a minor buff, yet other overpowered things go unnoticed.
The ramp up cost should be reduced, at the very least if you're at stage four with the Vampire Lord's set. I mainly play the game as a Vampire Necromancer (don't get me started), so this seems like such an oversight for such an underpowered skill. Vampirism is already at its weakest point, could we at least get some quality of life changes? Or reduce the damage increase and reduce the ramp up cost, because even at stage four and with the Vampire Lord's set this skill costs about 1124 health/sec to maintain.
This is on TOP of already having all my other skill lines' cost ramped up WAY higher than they should be. Why should vampirism affect the costs of my other skills, anyway? It doesn't in any other iteration of Elder Scrolls. And yes, I'm aware that you were essentially a pariah that burned up in the sun in Morrowind under the Poryphilic *** strain, but even in Oblivion, there were ways to manage your health while having your stats greatly increased without a sacrifice in power in other areas.
What do the other players think?
