ESO house, of course! :)

I've had the Hall of the Lunar Champion for a few years now, including its Halls of Colossus and Lion's Cradle annexes, and over that time, I've accumulated a LOT of furniture, most of it from free sources, but I bought a few from the Crown Store also. Now the halls are getting pretty cluttered, as you can see:

Since I now have various other houses, I decided it's time to move a lot of these items to some of them. The best method I can think of is:
  • put all items I want to move into the storage chests (I have the full set of 4 * 60 items + 4 * 30 items, so 360 slots total)
  • put these chests in the other houses I'm moving items to
  • take items from the chests as needed, when I want to place them inside the house

Are there any other methods?

Just shove it all in your bank if you have the space. Personally though I just decorate a new house rather than moving stuff out of old ones. I'm always accumulating furniture though.

Funny you ask now! I was just wondering the same thing about storage houses.

On PC, I was going to use EHT to select as much as I could fit in my cleared inventory and move back and forth manually. But apparently there's a much smarter way, another housing community member enlightened me today: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info2502-MagicSorterFurnitureStorageAutomation.html

That addon can select items by categories and organize them in different homes depending! Amazing. Sadly there's some bug with the Minion updates.

When I want to move a lot of stuff from one house to another I clear the bags of one of my maxed out guys then fill their bags with the furniture and drop it in the other house. I'll decorate later, I'm just unloading at that time. I've never needed more than those 215 slots for transport.

I just keep all my furnishings in the bank. Then they are accessible to all my houses all the time.

The eight storage chests work for that, too.

Once you place a furnishing into a storage chest, you can place it directly from there without removing it from the chest first, just like a bank.

Well there is nothing else I keep in my bank except some potions and foods for my daily writs. Good to know, though. Thanks and thanks!

This reminds me of my Lunar home so much and admittedly, most of my bigger houses were storage houses I one day decorated by making a story from the items that had accumulated. One way to keep slots and storage low and to prepare moving of the furniture mountains, I established over time, is:

Unique, beautiful or hard to achieve single items that do not stack or low quantity stacking items I can't give away -> storage houses, items ordered by theme or style. That way you have a beautiful furniture garden you can relax in or walk through :)

High quantity stackables that are valuable or costintensively to craft -> chests. Take a look inside and pet your assets :)

Anything else such as items I can buy anytime at global, achievement or home furnishers or craft with little cost respectively I sold or left in the woods.
