Maormer – who do they actually worship?

Hi, first of all, sorry for my poor English, I’ll try to do my best here. I’m currently researching the race of the Maormer and I’m curious on whom they actually worship. From my understanding, some of them worship Satakal, at least one of the World Bosses on High Isle. It is also said that they worship their own King, King Orgnum, but is that actually a fact? I know that there is cut content from ESO, where it is referenced that they most probably do worship him, but it is, like I said, just cut content. Also, as far as I know, none of the Maormer in the game call him a god, but rather their King. What do you think about all this and is it possible, that they also worship Kynareth, since she is the goddess of the sea? Personally, I was a bit disappointed that there were so few informations in Firesong, although about 1/3 of the story was about the Maormer. I really hope ZOS will be adding more Maormer Lore to the game and that we see Captain Siravaen again in future DLCs.

it is definitely possible some maormer worship Kynareth, they could worship any deity.

Likely some worship Hermaeus Mora like Uhlchesis who owned this Sea Elf Galleon Helm

the codex entries from the antiquity that mention Mora:

The traditional serpent head design is also absent. I believe this is a helm from the fleet of Admiral Uhlchesis, a cultist of Hermaeus Mora and scourge of the Eltheric Ocean.

It's said that Admiral Uhlchesis' fleet raided the shores of Alinor more than a dozen times before his dark master called him to Apocrypha. They sacked enough gold for a hundred helms, though most of his ships were thought lost after their leader left Nirn.

Kynareth is a god of men, not mer, so it is unlikely that Maormer would worship her (granted, Sakatal is Yokudan). My understanding is that some Maormer believe that King Orgnum is Satakal while others see them as separate. Unfortunately, like you said, there’s not much lore. The last time the Maormer as a race intermingled with other cultures was back in the time of the Aldmer, so I would think most of their gods would be retained from that time or obtained independently. There is a pantheon list on UESP that mentions other ones though: https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Gods
