Seriously though, thanks for bringing up this promotion on the forum. Why these things aren't announced by ZOS in some formalized way will forever be a mystery.
They did announce it. You can read it on the ESO launcher, under the NEWS section. It has been published roughly two hours ago. Perhaps that's why you haven't seen it yet.
I use the 64 bit launcher. Only use the 32 bit launcher for updates. My point was there should be a section on the official forum where these announcements are made.
And like others have said, it's almost never worth it to sign up for data mining gimmicks like this. Never mind that I and many others trying to stay healthy don't drink soda.
Oh but I totally agree with you, and it's not about that silly mount. It's about the ESO club not being more inclusive. As I wrote in my OP, it just doesn't feel right. And it has nothing to do with restrictions. We have raffles all over the place.
But, it's usually because someone involved in the promotion has their hands tied in some fashion.
It's not a deliberate attempt to be mean to a section of the population.
And I'm speaking in general terms. This is a common discussion on every video game forum I've ever been a part of.2 -

This is probably why it's US only. Mountain Dew aren't interested in harvesting data from people outside the US because they're not going to be the target audience for future marketing.

This is honestly how I feel.
I occasionally like mountain dew, so thought 'maybe I would get some and try my luck' but having to sign up to a different website isn't something I really want to do.1 -

Canada is part of NA aka North America, who are excluded from the competition.
As for the competition, there's no use people getting annoyed about it on the forums belonging to the company, they won't care.
You can only make them re-think this if it costs them money - there is no other option but money.0 -

I remember this promotion was done before, but not in the UK.
They had the same mount for sale in the crown store though, that's how I ended up getting it. It reminds me of my husky so it's one of my favourite mounts. Hopefully it comes back in the store again.0 -

Since it was free to play on Steam that week, the reward was just a click away.
Not everyone plays on steam.
