Suggestion: Extend the Event by 1 week

Hello. As the title suggests, my idea is to extend this event until the next week to compensate players for the several scheduled and unscheduled downtimes during the event along with several unpredictable issues that plagued the experience such as account bans server disconnects/rollbacks.

I understand that some people have or will be compensated for their accounts being banned but that doesn't cover the other people I have talked about. Additionally, the people whose accounts were banned may not consider what they received adequate compensation if their goals were to play and/or broadcast the game during this celebration event.

Extension of the event would be a great good faith gesture towards the player base and will earn the people running the show very many brownie points and good boy scores.

What does everyone think?

If anything, I think ZOS will bring back the event possible in a month or 2 rather than extending it now.
Only for 7 days as you suggested, as it could create a conflict otherwise with other planned events.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

Well maybe they could do a surprise adventurer event or something.

    I think it's a wonderful idea.
For both Zos and those who got shafted by the unpredictable issues.

But those who were locked out are not going to be happy with anything other than the boxes from the Jubilee Event. They have already voiced their opinion on this loud and clear in other posts.

And if Zos did run another Jubilee Event I can imagine that in order for them to save face it would have to run for the length of time that those people were locked out of their accounts.

    That would only be fair.

PC NA. Despite my forum account saying I am new to ESO, I am not. I have been playing since 2015.
Have a good day everyone. Practice smiling and showing others love. It will go a long ways.

If so, Zos needs to make an announcement about it soon in order to avoid further backlash.

Extending the event would have been the proper way to end it, not this discord-creating mess. I suspect if it were impossible to extend it further, we would have gotten some communication from the devs explaining so. As a result, their silence just indicates they're unwilling to extend it. So, following that reasoning, it's their choice to have the 10th anniversary end this badly.

Unfortunately, it's most likely too late for an extension. We should still show our displeasure with their decision.

Honestly, I'm so tired of events in this game because every single one has been a disaster lately. Maybe they need to make them fewer and farther between so they can actually put ample time into getting them right.

The (virtually) finished events are put on the PTS months ahead of the time they hit the Live servers.

If they can't get them right in three months, how much more time do you think they will need?

I would love a double gold Explorer's Celebration sometime before Gold Road (just please at least a week to breathe) and/or for master writs to be worth double XP during Zenithar's. Even though most console players didn't suffer bans as a result of PTS we still dealt with a month and a half of multiple daily disconnects (and still have the infinite flickering loading screen glitch) and no extension at all so something would be nice.

I can understand running into unexpected issues that they could not diagnose on the test realm.

I just think maybe it would be great as a good faith gesture or good customer service to extend the event for people who missed an opportunity to play when they were free.

I would go as far as saying that would be better compensation than the list of things they have handed out to people whose accounts were banned. Although it doesn't hurt to double up on that since it was a perfect series of unfortunate events.

and they can simply stop doing events, it's the worst anniversary I saw in a game.

if they don't succeed for the 10 years they will never

Seems reasonable, however.... can you name another AAA title that has as many "unexpected issues" as Elder Scrolls Online has had recently? And if not, then what are the other studios doing differently?
