NA sever shortchanged every event

Every event now the NA server gets cut off before the event ends, EU resets at 11pm eastern and gets hours to play the final while NA reset is 6am with maintenance at either 4am or 6am cutting us short of getting the last tickets

    Why

my guess is that events need to be physically triggered in house or something along those lines, which means during office hours.

Honestly, i would very much prefer if events started and ended with the daily flips. it makes things very much cleaner.

The problem is that it was extended by 2 days for both PC NA and EU because (only) PC NA was down for some duration. Now PC EU gets an extension by 2 days even though it was not even down, and PC NA only gets 1 day extension (which makes everyone there miss tickets, confetti and potentially more than a hundred boxes from writs compared to PC EU).

PC Na was down for 9 hours, and got a two day extension. You got more than double your downtime.

That's not the point. The point is, that NA is at a disadvantage compared to EU for every. single. event - regardless if extended or ending regularly.

    Wrong!
Kicking off on April 4 at 10AM EDT, the event will continue until April 23 at 10AM EDT as part of a special extended stay. Taken from here https://elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/65753

The event was then extended until the 25th at 10am.

It's the 24th here in the US and we have less than 12 hours left before maintenance now.

So yes we are getting shorted 4 hours on the extension.

I'm not clear on your math. The event ended on 4/23 AT 10. From 4/23 10:00 to 4/24 i10:00 is 24 hours. So before tonight maintenance start the extension would be another 17 hours by my count so that would be still be short of 48 but not by much.

And more than double the 9 for certain.

It's the definition of "day" that's the disconnect.

(All times EDT) We already had Tuesday via the 6AM-10AM window, therefore the "2 day" extension people were expecting began at 6AM Wednesday and the 2nd day was the 6AM-10AM window on Thursday. It's why they advertise 60 tickets available and are not wrong normally because you get 19 "full" days and that 4 hour window on the last. Even though they never said 2 days, the Thursday end at 9:59 gave many the impression that they had the extra 4 hour window as the last "day"

April 23 at 10 am to April 24 at 10 am is 24 hours
April 24 at 10 am to April 25 at 10 am is 24 hours
    Equalling 2 days.

Maintenance is happening at 6 am on the 25th.

Meaning PCNA is losing 4 hours of the 48 hours (2 days) extension that was announced.

Which is not as important to me as getting those who have been locked out this entire time back on the game due to something that wasn't their fault, is to me. But the loss of those 4 hours does matter to others.

But because of everything that has happened since PTS went Live and the start of the Anniversary Event, I do think Zos should give another extension on the event at least until Mondays Maintenance happens, so those who were locked out can participate a bit more in the Event also.

Plus I think it's the only way Zos can keep so much of their community from walking away from this with a bitter taste in their mouth.

Look at what this all this has caused. People are literally at each others throats because they have been done wrong in one way or another and the community as a whole can't seem to find a common ground in which to agree upon.
The forums is full of it and has been every since the PTS/Live Fiasco happened.

We are not a United Community at all right now. ( Actually, we never have been...but it is much worse now than it has ever been).

So I spent 6 tickets at the event vendor yesterday expecting to get those tickets back today and tomorrow morning. I wish I could rely on what ZOS says. I thought the event would end at 10 am tomorrow. Sheesh.

Is there anything else ZOS can do in the final hours to screw up this event even more? lol. And what's the point of extending the event to make up for downtime, and then cutting it short? You can't make this stuff up. It's in comedy la-la-land now.

And would it have hurt if everyone got a bit "extra" (nevermind that the "extra" time was announced last week and players that planned with it will miss out on the jubilee horse for instance)?
Even just scheduling the maintenance just 1 hour later would have given everyone that wants it the opportunity to benefit from the last "day".

The usual apologists and denialists, yes it was extended but not JUST for NA, EU is still going and at 11pm eastern their server resets and they get the final day, I play both servers so I know this, NA on the other hand gets shut down right at reset time, 4 hours before the event ends at 10am eastern for BOTH servers.
This doesn't happen JUST for this event but multiple events, and will apparently continue to happen.
Also the only server being brought down is the NA server, for 8 hours, EU server is staying up.

    all. of. this.

this is not the first event something like that happened either and I think we all thought they have learned better, when they started moving maintenances to a day after event, but ... I don't think it even occurred to them that in their rush to restore PTS affected accounts, they would be doing this to PC NA players... again.

honestly? they never should have changed daily reset timers. those should have been the same for both NA and EU servers. THIS particular issue started because they didn't have enough all over the place timers for players to keep track of (ostensibly it was to make it more convenient for as many players as possible? but I'm still not seeing who exactly is this more convenient for)

So when the event ended, console so that was yesterday, the night before I thought about staying up until 3:00 a.m. PDT to get the last three tickets, but sleep won out. Being retired I don't get up before 7 a.m. anymore so that was my choice.

I wonder how many people would really take advantage of the last four hours even if there was no maintenance... A lot of people here based on all the complaints, but overall I wonder.

Being on the console my event ended yesterday. I too might be less pissed off if I had an extra week to get purple boxes.

as someone still in PTS jail, I was a tiny bit inclined to roll my eyes at people getting worked up over four hours but to be completely fair, in the past when I've made the questionable decision to forsake sleep for tickets (I'm on PT as well) PCNA at least has usually been surprisingly lively in those last few hours. it does seem like a decent amount of people make time to hop on at event wrap-up.

For those of us in Eastern Asia and Australasia, those 4 hours are in our prime time. So nearly 100% of us would be 'taking advantage' of them. (Just like we lose out on an evening's ESO every time there is planned maintenance..)

NA absolutely DOES get shorted on tickets every single event since the reset times were changed. This time was the worst, because we were promised two extra days, then due to the maintenance shutdown, that last 4-hour partial day was completely removed.

Here is the explanation on how it works, and why EU players have an unfair advantage every event since reset timers changed:

The final partial day used to be 8-9 hours long for both servers.

Reset was moved back three hours for EU; forward four hours for NA. Events still start and end at the same time.

EU now has 11-12 hours for the last partial day. NA has 4-5 hours to get theirs.

Regardless of WHEN those hours occur (the convenience or lack will vary according to each individual's personal schedule and where they happen to live), 4-5 hours is a very small time window to try to work this into your life. This is a GAME. We shouldn't have to wake up in the middle of the night or get up early in the morning to try to get the benefits of the last day, and if it happens to hit the middle of the work day, it could be completely impossible.

Tickets are sold in the crown store, so NA players have lost 500-750 crowns worth of tickets PER EVENT ever since reset timers were changed. (Except for those who have suffered not to.)

Please change this system. The fairest way to do it, would be to change events to start and end at reset times on each server, instead of with the Crown Store time.

Yep, its pretty lame, I would have spent the tickets yesterday. If the character screen hadn't insisted it was up for another day. For those that might say I should spend time reading the forums to see maintenance notices, I simply don't bother with forums because of you and all the other fan boys continually making excuses for Zos at every turn.

This problem doesn't just relate to tickets either. Whenever they do a stream with some sort of linked reward, its always during working hours. I guess everyone at Zos thinks they work at a bank not a gaming company.
