At first, I thought it was funny watching N*Fas video about to enter the Trial and everyone freaking out about what was happening on PTS when they logged to run the new trial. Then all the Bans happened, and I really did not give it much thought because I slept through that part of the day. (Saw his video a few days later) Now reading back and seeing people still banned and what is going on I feel truly terrible for everyone going thru this. I do think ZOS feels awful about it as well not that me saying that makes anyone else feel better banned at the moment. There must have been some VERY SHADY stuff that went on for that very short period to cause this long of a delay.

Personally, as a long-time player (Played 409 days 15 hours and 38 minutes) I hope everyone effected gets as much compensation as possible because this feels like a personal violation that is hard to even describe.

I hope when every gets their accounts restored, they can try and put this behind them overtime and not be scared of it happening again.

Regards

ElderSmitter.

This mentality, albeit coming from a good and well meaning place, is a sign of the times. "I deserve ALL THE THINGS because I'm a Victim!"

Everything happening is an incredibly unfortunate circumstance, possibly avoidable, but there's that hindsight, right? ZOS has already decided on a Compensation plan for the affected accounts. That's MORE than what any of us are owed as Consumers. ZOS could have very easily said "Oh well, that's Life you'll get your account unlocked when we get around to it" and that would be within their right. Obviously a PR nightmare, but still within their right. Instead they decided on a laundry list of things to give players for free for the inconvenience, and yet as the time it takes to rectify all this continues to mount people are becoming more and more demanding and, dare I say the word, entitled. The posts I'm reading here scream of that nature, all because of missed Loot and unlockables due to a current Event? I haven't logged on for like, the past two weeks now, whatever grind the Event is offering I'm obviously not going to be able to complete it and I'm perfectly fine with that. People should learn to let go a little, so what if a bunch of ones and zeros was snatched away because of an unforeseen consequence? It is not the end of your world, and there will be more Game for you to play once you get your account back, ZOS has made it clear they plan to keep this train rolling for years to come. Just, take a deep breath, accept what's happened has happened, take your free stuff and continue playing when you can.

Since you've so graciously volunteered, I'll take your stuff! After all, it's just loot and unlockables, right? You'll be very happy to part with that for those who have been negatively affected by the lockout, right?

There are differences between choosing to not having access to your account, knowing you won't have access (irl circumstances) and planning for that, and being forced not to play.

Yes it's pixels and not essentially to life. But neither is a canceled talyor swift concert and the comments I saw around one of those makes what's on these forums look tame.

People have sunk time, money, and love into eso. Some even make a career out of this game.

There's victimization and then there's being locked out of a game you like for over a week (and counting) despite not having done anything wrong. I don't see people screaming for ALL THE THINGS, I see people justifiably angry for missing on the event and having at best an estimate as to when they'll be able to return (and it's probably after the event is over).

Finally, are you seriously comparing voluntarily not logging to the game with being unfairly locked out of it?

Thank you ElderSmitter...it is nice to know that some others have empathy for us. I miss running my guild events, chatting to everyone in guild chat and working with my prog groups to become a better player. Hope to see you all soon.

They picked the level of compensation when the incident first happened without apparently having grasped exactly how long the accounts would be locked. Things changed so the original assessment should change as well.

I can easily understand why what a good compensation for 3-4 days lost isn't the same level of good as when that loss turns out to be twice as long, and counting.
