Need some advices for blacksmithing !

Hello everyone,

I started going in blacksmithing because I kinda like it. I am trying to level it up quite quickly but I really don't understand how experience in Blacksmithing going :
- Most of the time I collect a lot of iron/steel/orichalc
- I also try to craft a lot of items for my friends ( mostly iron weapons / armors )
- I try to use the research tools as much as I can and I deconstruct every items I have
- Trying to level up via bookshelves also, this has worked pretty well for me in the early levels for some skills.

Now this is , I think, a rather full list of which actions to do in order to quickly get some levels in a job. I'm actually lvl 8 in blacksmithing and have putted all the skills points I was able to in the skill line. What frustrates me the most is that I didn't do anything in woodworking, just basically destroying items without paying any attention, and now my woodworking skill level is 10.. eh :D

Yeah, it's outright silly how easy Woodworking and Clothing is to level solely through deconstructing drops, while Blacksmithing is slower than a broken car from 1831. >.<

Hey there. There is a pretty in depth guide written by Myrron here, that covers that. It's the best one I've seen.

nice one you have here. But as for me it kills all fun. i like to play the game te way it is supoused to be, without all the tricks. eventually you'll forget why are you playing. it is all for fun and lore. my opinion.

Provisioning is the sports car of crafting, blacksmithing is the horse and cart. I am hoping selling items will balance it out, lots of people want a legendary sword, moon pie not so much.

It will, end game, because the intent is to make the three main crafts be a draw, rather than a bane.

I mean, carting a gold-quality level 50 sword with the top enchants and trait, then figure in it was probably crafted on one of the 'limited' tables that require the person spend at least 56 hours researching ONE item type to even craft in the first place, granting the item even more bonuses...

Was there any difference between a car and a cart back then? ;)

Yeah, with a cart, the noisy, smelly end is in front, while with the car, the noisy, smelly end was in the back.
