I've been working on my PhD dissertation like a mofo as of late, and I've essentially only had time this event to log in, eat cake, and do writs on my main character. I had an extra hour to spare one time and thankfully I got the trueflame page from fishing, but I just don't have the time to farm for the others - not by a long shot.
If they're buyable with tickets next anniversary, then fantastic; if not, then I guess I'm kissing my perfect collection of event collectibles since beta goodbye.

This year I already skipped the possibility of endless hours until the drops happen.
First collectibles I miss on my 10 year run. But real life comes 1st.

✭I remember back when I played Everquest and there were surprise Halloween drops which only dropped that night. I missed them because I went to a party instead. So unfair!
So the next year, with this in mind, I still went to a party instead and missed out again.
In all the years I played Everquest, I missed all the Halloween drops!
And the actual practical impact? There was none. It's just a game, and even though I played it 40 hours a week at times, taking it very seriously (while working full time to those who judge), it had zero impact on my life.
It was still a great experience that I'll always remember because of the friends I made and the awesome time I had with them completing difficult challenges and owning our server.
No one should let loot make them miserable. Life is too short.
As Rust players, who can lose weeks of loot in less than an hour, are prone to say: It's just pixels.

✭✭✭I think either way, there's going to be uproar over it. A mechanic like this should never have been introduced, because if you make it buyable or give it out as compensation, whoever worked on it, will feel like their effort/achievement has been cheapened. The best they could do at this point is give them to everyone, because we're celebrating 10 years of the game, and just let bygones be bygones.0 -
Drammanoth✭✭✭✭✭Why not? They could split the collection process over the course of 3-4 events. Collect 36 or 48 Event tickets. It would also require the dreaded g-word the malcont... ahem, COLLECTORS could have a real chance of obtaining it. Also, ZOS could also sell it as Arms Pack in Crown Store. So that those who really REALLY need it, can purchase it without the g-word. And the dirty wordstands for GRIND0 -
