Character appearance customization token bug?

krazienate2001_ESO
I purchased and used a customization token yesterday, used said token, but after applying my character's appearance never changed. I logged out and back in as well as even quitting the game, none had no effect. Checking just now this morning, and I can see I still don't have my characters appearance changed as it should. Is there a way around this or can I get my 1000 crowns refunded, please?

    Character creation is bugged.

I video recorded and bug reported it years ago (after Greymoor released) but making new characters recently - love arcanists which are new to me after an extended absence - sadly found the same bug still occurs.

I still have the 3 free race change tokens they gave away to everyone years ago, so when creating a new character, always use one to check (but not change and consume) the appearance of newly created characters because about half the time, whole sections of appearance are just on default settings rather than what I set them to.

Creating several new characters recently, it took up to 3 attempts on some to get what I actually selected in creation.

I didn't bother bug reporting it again. They probably know.

Support's initial response to my ticket years ago was to tell me to buy an appearance change token.

I described their solution of making me pay to fix their bug as legally hilarious, and upon escalation they coughed up enough crowns to buy one to fix my affected character.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping for a response to my ticket today, but I'm guessing that's probably not gonna happen anytime soon. Oh well, I'll have to see about getting the crowns refunded or something.

It might also be a good idea to video record future character creation / edit attempts.

OBS is good and easy to use freeware.

I lost a race change token on my main account to that bug years ago.

Since then, I've noticed that if you go to create a character and the sliders are already in a non-default position, you are very likely to get a default setting in game for any slider that you don't change. Even changing it one position and then moving it back seems to fix it (for that particular slider).

So far as using the appearance change tokens, I don't have a tried an true method for making sure they actually work, but I do use Nerouyn's method of checking the changes to make sure they actually occurred.

I also thought I noticed an increased likelihood for error in that condition - sliders off default when you enter the character creation / edit screen, which seems to happen sometimes when you either enter character creation or edit on a different character of the same race first.

As if one part of the client is remembering your selections and displaying those on your screen but the data the client actually sends is the default value.

I didn't try changing individual sliders like you did. I tried complete machine restarts and not entering edit on any other character.

But with only 3 character deletions per day and me wanting to get on with levelling my new characters while the double xp is on, I couldn't tell you if that actually worked.
