Please consider doing it for these accounts before this Monday maintenance. Right now, while I can understand the business decisions, I feel that is the only basis for the decision, and not customer service. We are missing out on the event and all of the things that come from it - we are now into the fourth day without access.
I appreciate the compensation package I do. I personally am not really into cosmetics but it's the thought that counts.
But over a week for a locked account is extremely rough. Especially a weekend added...
And once again for your beta tester that are giving free QA for the next patch (which I'm still doing from the free account mind you).
We all have our own reasons on why this is extremely inconvenient (I was very close to #1 on the cyrodiil leaderboard to get Emperor in Blackreach).
But we're also confused about why some accounts are being unlocked without rollbacks and some require the server down time and rollbacks? Talked to people on PTS that have their account back already.
And then the current status is we'll give you more information in 3 DAYS.
I understand the initial expectation was Friday and I'm sure you guys have run into additional issues... But this is rough from a customer standpoint. A customer that has been apart of this community for 10 years.

Well, like they said, the roll back is complicated and they want to get it right. I am going to guess that you don't want them to mess up something and have to relock all the accounts and fix them again. It could happen.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t a roll back of the affected accounts automatically remove anything that was linked over to the live server? If they need to go through each and every affected account to remove anything carried over, then why the need for a roll back?
I am beginning to think that they are trying to figure out how to roll back the individual accounts and have not found a way to do it, hence the rolling ‘it will be a few more days.’
Seriously beginning to worry that I will never get my main account back.

That would have wiped most of the damage caused by cheaters taking advantage of a very bad situation but players didn't want that so this saga is going to drag on and on for a week maybe longer.
In the end they had better provide all of us a complete explanation of what happed and why and then they need to take the necessary steps to prevent it from ever happening again as if it does tons of players will quit because all of this stress over a game is not healthy and not worth continuing to play.

There are various reasons why some players would have preferred a full server rollback, but it's difficult to see how a decision that would have been unfair to everyone would have been better than one that was only unfair to some. Nonetheless, what the players thought of the alternative solutions was irrelevant as ZOS had made the decision before most players started discussing it - or in many cases were even aware of what had happened as it unfolded overnight for them.

What about missed raid cores for achievements like mind mender swashbuckler supreme and planesbreaker. I’m going to miss another 2 days where my group is close to getting mindmender and there seems to be no end in sight with the account lock. On top of that I can’t even use the code for necrom I got because the access code doesn’t come in the mail when I try to log onto the live server.

It would only remove anything that was on the account being rolled back, meanwhile the player could have transferred gold and items to other accounts. Before rolling back an account ZOS need to follow the trails from that account and remove everything that shouldn't be there.
Or at least that Is how I imagine it to be!

Don't take what I say the wrong way. Maybe ZoS stated a couple of days? (I haven't been paying attention so I really don't know). But just by doing some basic linear algebra it was pretty easy to see there was absolutely zero chance they could sus out every account in just a couple of days.@ZOS_GinaBruno
What ever happened to 2-3 days? So some of us are going to be left without a usable account for over a week?

Off the top of my head? When they enabled movement of characters around on the character creation/login screen, when they allowed players to shortcut skills and wayshrines etc on alts, and very early on when they dropped the mandatory subscription and then introduced One Tamriel. Actually, even before that they responded to beta feedback by introducing Cadwell's silver and gold quests to enable players to access other alliance content. All of those things came about through listening to the community, and doubtless there are other things too, while of course they won't implement everything different sections of the community ask for.

No individual account downtime, no one missing out on event activities and loot that others have access to, no PTS gold and loot dispersed into the economy, no 16,000 Seals of Endeavour being rewarded to certain people, none of that fuss.

Weren’t Slaughterfish as a map barrier a player suggestion too?
