ZOS, genuinely, you did a good job here.

Let's get it out of the way: No, this PTS situation never should have happened to begin with, and when it did the server should have had a full rollback by a couple hours instead of locking a lot of people out of an entire week during the biggest event of the year. I stand by that, and I hope that whatever poor protocols or failure to follow them is investigated and seriously dealt with.

However, what's done is done and none of that can be changed. I was extremely vocal and vehement in demanding a promise of making up lost daily account rewards and event rewards, and grew extremely frustrated with the lack of promise and vague statements given to your community managers to pass on to us. With all of that in mind, this new promise of recompense is a genuinely pleasant surprise and truly a generous offering when considering the situation and I believe that when strong demands are made and well beyond met that thanks is due.

I do not say this often, ZOS, but you exceeded my expectations by far. Good job. Now keep up the good work by getting those accounts unlocked.

And, because I think all the frustration and harsh feelings over the past few days may have bled beyond reasonable bounds, I think it's fair to extend a genuine thanks to @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_Kevin as well as all the other unsung moderators and community staff who had the unfortunate position of having to be not only the face of the company but also the face of us players towards the higher-ups and developers, in addition to policing all of the heated arguments. You guys did what you could throughout and soldiered through what cannot be any easier of a week for you guys in particular as it was for us.

Again, with genuine thanks: Good job.

Wish the PvP server issues that lasted 3 days last week would have been handled this way.

I agree, the way this handled was very good.

I'm pretty surprised so I gotta give credit where credit is due to ZOS. It's more than I expected and I feel pretty fairly compensated.

The only thing I really needed: the missed event tickets for my indrik berries are not included in the list. Oh well...

That's exactly how I feel. 90% of the compensation is useless to me.
The only things I actually cared about, the purple event boxes (with the actual valuable event rewards) and event tickets so I could finish my Indriks were omitted.

The 16,000 seals is nice sure (but don't forget to subtract the number of earnable seals due to the thieves guild event that we're missing), also, they're compensating us for a full week of lost gameplay during the single most profitable event of the year.

How many more days are you willing to go without your account and still think think this is a good deal?

The timeframe they've given is more than fair in comparison to the compensation offered. Even if they have to extend it a few days (and only if they HAVE TO), I could be content. As I stated in the original post, this never should have happened to begin with and I stand by that. We can't change the past, though, so we have to take what we can get and what we're getting is extremely generous.

This week until sunday when the next raid is.

Zos had a major screwup that never should've happened but the listed compensation is a lot more than I would've wanted for myself.

If my account is unlocked before sunday night and I get all the listed things then I'm very happy.

Playstation players have had disconnects every 45 minutes and all we got was a swift kick in the teeth and the barest of acknowledgment after raising the most public of fusses possible and calling for refunds on our pre-orders. Meanwhile a handful of players get locked out for 48 hours and they get the moon and stars and sky.

So no. ZOS did not do a good job. ZOS kowtowed to YouTubers.

Agreed! You know they did a good job when people who didn't get locked out are suddenly jealous. Gratz on the new Radiant Apex mounts all!!

(Also, giving people back the style pages they may have farmed, enough confettis to just finish their horses and a box for the max possible days they missed was needed—this was the bare minimum.)

That has nothing to do with how they handled this situation, and it isn't 48 hours. It's already been nearly 72 hours and we still have a few days to go by their estimation.

That being said, they should handle the issues with Playstation better. It isn't a one or the other thing. ZOS can do a good job in this instance, and poorly in another.

they did not kowtow to youtubers at all, we chose to beta test for them and to no fault of our own we got locked out just for logging into the test server.

im a console transfer (playstation to pc) to be quite honest, playstation has always ran eso like crap, its nothing new, back 4 years ago when i was on ps4 it was way worse than it is now(since the server updates), i even have nostalgia vids somewhere of the crap we used to put up with.
