I am doing my level best to remain optimistic on the swift resolution of the account lockouts problem, but each successive communication only seems to muddy the waters by raising new questions without really answering existing ones.
1. I'm currently locked out. Cool. I get that (and have a "your account has been permanently banned" message as a reminder in case should I forget - that's a joke, btw)
2. I should stop being locked out sometime this week. Also cool, I guess. Stuff happens on its own timeline, so I try to roll with the punches.
3. I have missed two days of event participation thus far, but the event will be extended two days, so that's pretty much a wash IF I get unlocked sometime today, but a loss if it doesn't happen today. Side observation that everyone who didn't get locked out will potentially have two fewer confetti packs which need buying and six extra event tickets. Based on currently available information, a Pareto equilibrium has not been achieved. I can and will live with that, but I cannot promise no hard feelings based on current information.
4. I'm supposed to get a redeemable game code so I can play while my regular account is locked out. It won't allow me to do anything with my usual characters, so start from scratch in the base-game while I wait? To be transparent and fair, I already have an old alt account with the chapters up to Blackwood and a mid-20s Sorc hanging loose on it, so it's not like I can't play ESO. It's more that I can't play with my usual characters and I canceled ESO Plus on that account years ago, so I don't even want to think about diving back into the inventory management headache. The practical effect of this for playing purposes is close to zero aside from being able to run around on PTS (which I have already done and will probably do again;- I'm not hiding anything, but will occasionally lie about my age and weight). The offer is appreciated, though.
Original questions regarding event rewards, login rewards, endeavors, and the like remain unanswered, so I continue to wait with more questions than I had previously. This one like a tricky lock, a thorny puzzle, or a track in the woods almost as much as Aelif, but adding questions to existing questions ranks right up there with a burr tangled in the fur.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.
