Maintenance for the week of November 4:
• [COMPLETE] ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – November 6, 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EST (23:00 UTC)

I don't even know what to say about this situation.

So, let me get it straight.
As a PCEU player, not only I find myself locked from the game for days but I'm also going to miss out on the endeavors while NA players are at least compensated by the 200 endeavors.
To add salt to injury, you're giving away 2 extra days while you say that we're potentially not going to be able until the end of the week (friendly reminder that 2 days =/= 4 days)
Your solution to give us a free code to play the game (Code that I haven't recieved yet) sounds interesting but as someone who plays through cloud gaming platforms (Boosteroid), I can't play the game without a gaming service like steam or epic games.
I literally don't know what to say about this. I had seen, at least, people running the new trial and at this point that might be the only thing that might make me buy the chapter. My hype severely disappeared with the poor decisions that you keep on making.
Thanks ZOS.

Oh and also not even compensating with the login bonus that we're missing [Snip]. Missing (nearly) a whole week when your login bonus includes unique costumes, endeavors and other rewards hurts.

Even for us on NA, 200 endeavor seals that EVERYONE gets is a slap in the face at this point. I made over 200 seals on the first day, and then subsequently lost them all to this rollback. Nevermind all of the seals I've missed out on since, and the weekly that I very well might not even get to finish in time. On top of that, the fact that EVERYONE gets them means that I - and everyone else who's been locked out - is still behind everyone else. This is utterly unacceptable as a compensation, almost more of an insult than nothing at all.

Then 2 days? 2 DAYS?! We've already lost 2 days and according to the current very nebulous timeframe we might lose out on another 5 or more! You can't be serious, ZOS. This is absolutely unacceptable.

They also made absolutely no mention whatsoever of tickets, log-in rewards, or jubilee confetti all of which we could be losing an entire week's worth of progress on. This isn't just unacceptable. This is shameful for ZOS. Absolutely shameful. I have been playing this game for the entire ten years it's been out, beta tester and day 1 early access player. I have never stopped playing this game except for the 2 weeks my computer broke and I physically couldn't play it. I've criticized ZOS when I thought they were wrong, but also defended them when everyone else wanted to burn them down, and to see this is simply something they should be ashamed of.

Same here, I'm on PC EU and my NA account consists of 1 level 2 character, which is unused and unplayed. Since that is linked, I'm locked out of everywhere. It is not only NA players locked out, half of my raid group that planned to run on pts is also banned. Only because we logged onto pts to look at all the new stuff. What about EU? All iI've gotten is one generic e-mail about being locked out due to PTS issues and nothing else.

And i completely agree, the event should be extended fully by duration that ALL locked accounts missed. 2 day extension does not equal week lost. Cringeworthy.

Yeah, it totally feels like "hey we made a mistake, let's reward everyone but the victims"
10 years of mistakes and they can't even figure out a proper way to resolve nor communicating about it.

We're rewarding the same people that insisted on not rolling back the server which could have been the best solution while the locked accounts won't even benefit from their compensation, especially EU where we didn't ask for all of this.

We're getting a 9 hour rollback for Monday, which means the hour of writs I did (20 toos x 7 = 140 boxes, ~90k ) was wasted on NA. For the rest of the days I would have done writs with 20 toons on both NA and EU (140 boxes, 90k each server, )
I couldn't claim the twitch crates, I missed out on the daily endeavours, etc.
So 2 days event extension really isn't enough, if we end up missing 4 or more days of the event.

So I think at this point I am justifiably annoyed.

First - I understand the need for this to be resolved correctly BUT:

    1. Two days event extension is clearly not going to address the event related loses. We already lost two days, and it seems will lose several more. Meanwhile those who are not locked out get event days in excess of what was planned while we still get fewer. There are lost mount pieces (likely barring many of us from getting the achievement and mount), lost endeavors, lost chances at the (already tough to get) style pages and, for me personally, a huge loss in motifs, mats and other items from the hundreds of event boxes I will lose. (I had farmed around 1.7k boxes on my account already, so you can work out I'm averaging well over 100 a day.)

I'm going to assume the event extension and NA endeavors are just to make up for the NA server downtime though, not for the people locked out. It would be very nice if more was offered to us outside this, at least to make sure we don't lose limited time event items like the mount.

    2. As for an ESO game code? Already bought so I would not lose my chance to blind run the new trial on PTS. That was the only purpose a new account could serve for me. Several other people I know have also bought new accounts so they could still participate with their PTS groups and I doubt there will be an offer to refund the cost of these. If we were provided these codes on day 1 it would have been a hugely appreciated gesture, and maybe it will still help some, but at this point, unless the account is playable in trials on live then it's no help to me. My groups will still suffer because I can't be there to play my role. My guilds are still without me around to lead.

While it's a relief to hear some kind of "in-game items" are being discussed for those of us hurt by this, I really hope they will include the items for the mount achievement, missed log in items, missed endeavors and so on. It's very difficult to express just how much a have lost in terms of pure gold worth by being locked out through the biggest and most profitable event of the (or indeed, given it's the tenth anniversary - ANY) year.

I really hope the account code we get sent has DLC access so I might at least get some future use out of it. I was going to at least set up the new account I already have for PvP or something, then realised I can't farm mythics or any dungeons sets, so even if I level it as quick as possible, it's basically useless on live.

    This.
And to go even beyond, that's a whole week of ESO+ that is gone.

Yea. Meanwhile on my new account bought for PTS before they announced they will send us a code for one, I am suffering from lack of + and no unlocked DLC...

Anyone banned is getting compensated unless you seriously exploited. What that is remains to be known.

That’s what I thought too. I mean , as long as you don’t send billions of gold , mats etc. to other chars you should be fine. They will do something good I think, the pr damage is big enough and I don’t think they will risk another one.

Gina's post clearly states that they are planning to offer additional compensation to those who had their accounts locked (separate from the 200 seals being offered to everyone on PC/NA as compensation for the server being down).

I can count on one finger the number of times I thought the same and my expectations were exceeded. I also have multiple pets and dozens of useless experience scrolls for the other times.

The PTS testers included the most known people in the game -key content creators. There's zero doubt that they understand the impact this has had - especially for those who stream for a living and currently have to watch others play with ESO+ while they can't show that content.

It's also a time when the gaming market is highly competitive.

I think logically, you can trust that players will be looked after.

I'm not affected by this, but still wanted to add that I'm surprised and confused by the 'compensation' offered to those who are affected. I don't understand why the compensation isn't items those players will miss out on because of being unable to play the festival.

I realise it would be impractical to give everyone a 1:1 replacement of what they personally missed. For example someone mentioned they've been farming hundreds of anniversary boxes per day, while I've just been doing the daily crafting writs on 1 character. If they gave all affected accounts the same number of boxes some would be far below what they would have earned and others may have far more. But I suspect enough accounts are affected that it would be impossible for ZOS to check each one and design a custom package based on their typical activity.

But at the moment it looks a bit like they're just throwing out whatever is easiest for them to give away. They could at least include the obvious things like the last week of login rewards, event tickets and the gold anniversary box for each day they can't log in.

But maybe the people asking for random items as compensation when previous events had problems or were cut short by maintenance gave them the impression that's what players want? (I always assumed that was people who didn't care about the event rewards but were hoping to convince ZOS to give them something unrelated they do want for free.)

Outside of the free temporary account to login to, no compensation has been specified yet. We only know that there will be compensation in some form for the locked accounts...

Just to reiterate here, what we have outlined today is to respond to the downtime that occurred on Monday. Those who have been locked out of accounts, you will receive another update with more information regarding other in-game items. We are working out details and testing on our end before we follow up.

Honestly, they should have extended the event by more than just 2 days. At least 5 would've been a good start, so the locked out people would have more time to grab event boxes. As a bonus, 5 extra days would also mean players would be able to complete the confetti horse achievement without spending tickets, which considering the compounded mess of a game-breaking exploit during a grindful event, would be a nice token of goodwill from the devs.

As for those who did nothing wrong and can't play the game, I do hope they get nothing less than what they missed: seals of endeavors, tickets, confetti horse parts, ESO+ days and login rewards. These are easy to quantify, unlike unearned event boxes. I also hope the something extra Gina mentioned isn't just some cosmetics. Maybe at least a week of ESO+?

Honestly the compensation needs to be something substantial like 5k crowns or something. There’s been quite a few issues this year, last year had the crown store outage; it’s time players get something of consequence.
