First Impression of housing in Gold Coast

I did a brief visit to look at housing in the new chapter. There was only one house. No apartment for free in Skingrad. The house is on the northwest border and seems to be far from anything other than the Trial which is unnecessary for transport. The house itself was very unimpressive and even ugly. Nothing really interesting except that it is a vineyard with arched grape trellises. The inside is basically the notable house in Gonfolon Bay but only two stories and stripped of anything interesting I.e. levels, balconies, views.

As for the new furnishings, the noble furnishings are gorgeous but seem ill matched with the house. There are some new Wood elf furnishings that are fun. The rustic pieces I saw fit the house but with the exception of the rugs and paintings, they are not for me. French country with a sea foam glaze is how I would describe them. We are getting piles of fallen leaves and sawdust?… yes sawdust! The fallen leaves are much more muted than you might expect from the chapter promos. There are bright red and gold trees though.

From Mirror more the reskinned the floating books as mirror shards so there are spiraling shards and floating shards. We will likely have to wait until 4th quarter for a house to put them in or any new building components at all.

Sorry the crash has prevented most from seeing the stuff on PTS and it doesn’t look like it was up long enough for any content creators to show the stuff but with nothing else to do, I thought I’d post my impressions of what I saw.

Based on promo images I was really hoping for either or both of better / less bone-riddled Bosmer housing in Dawnwood and maybe something Ayleid, but less ruined.

Free or crown store.

Though it isn't what I'm wanting, I'll take the addition of new Bosmer furnishings as suggestive of a new Bosmer house yet to be unveiled.

Once a favorite of wine merchants seeking to acquire the area’s best vintages, this inn room can serve as a convenient refuge for any hoping to sample Skingrad’s best food and drink.
This inn room is earned by completing the “Room to Spare” quest, which can be found in Skingrad's tavern, The Fertile Respite. Alternatively, it can be purchased for 3,000 gold if you’ve already completed that quest elsewhere.

Merryvine Retreat
Merryvine’s wines once rivaled those of the nearby Valente Vineyard, but misfortune sent its former owner fleeing. This sun-kissed estate features fertile grapevines, a house suitable for entertaining, and facilities that would please any vintner.
This home is available to purchase for 1,300,000 gold upon completion of the “Gold Road Grand Adventurer” achievement.

Zhan Khaj Crest
Breezes carry verdant scents from the nearby jungle to caress the sand gardens in this former Desert Wind auditorium. Though no longer a site of Khajiit practicing a dual-sword technique, this riverside location serves well as a meditative getaway.
This home will be available on the Crown Store at a later date but is currently available to test on the PTS.

It's a medium house we can buy for gold, so they probably keeping the good stuff for crowns as always.
To me the outside of the new house is nice but the inside height scaling is way off and the rooms are oddly shaped. for 1.3 million gold it's not so bad but I wouldn't spend crowns on it.

The reveal got my hopes up. Some of the new furnishings sound interesting, sure, but I was reeealy hoping for those Ayeid arches!

Thanks for the correction. I you have to actually find a house before it shows in your uncollected list. I’m glad I was mistaken and there is an inn room in Skingrad

I like the vineyards, but this is yet another home where I rather build my own design.

I hope we can purchase it without the buildings.

no you can't purchase it without the buildings.
per usual there are options to buy it Unfurnished and Furnished
