Lead Drops In Infinite Archive

In last weeks patch notes there was a line saying that leads would drop more reliably in IA. I was encouraged, and decided to spend a few hours trying to get leads for the new mythic (torc of the last ayleid king). Several hours (and many many chests) later, I had zero leads for anything.

I happened to look in on a couple of streamers on YT who were also trying to get leads from IA and they were unable to get any.

So is this just bad RNG? Has anyone managed to get leads out of IA since the patch? The grindwall seems to be brutally tough.

Are you doing side quests, marauders and treasure scamp? That is where they drop

I got 3 in 8 hours. Then spent 12 hours the next day without 1.

Then got that last two in about 10hrs. Got a bunch of furnishings ones too which dilutes the pool.

Yes :) But is it only from these that the leads drop?

Well at least you were getting leads, I was thinking that the drop rate was bugged.

I came back to the game a month ago, and got all the torc leads within 3 weeks of starting IA.

I've gotten 1 lead (and 1 furnishing lead) so far from a good few hours (~8) in IA, so the rates are definitely very low, but the leads do eventually drop.

It‘s just RNG. Increasing the drop rate from 1% to 2% is basically doubling its drop rate while you personally won’t feel the difference at all.

I was farming hours and hours for the Mora patron fragments in IA while others got them rather quickly - at the end of the day a random drop chance is still a random drop chance.

yeah, I got those drops very quickly.

Also, just did IA again and got one more of the mythic leads on the first run, so it all definitely drops, and it's definitely all RNG.

I only have time for one arc and go solo and am stuck at 3/5 for the puzzles so I won’t be seeing anymore leads even though I am far from having them all at this point.

Thanks for the responses everyone, it's good to know that leads will drop from IA eventually.

I did another run and still nothing but I'll keep trying over the next week and hope my RNG improves.

I didn't get any leads so far, but spent over 6 hours there...
Don't any point to continue, I can get pretty much any Mythic within 2-3 hours - these people at Bethesda are mental (they couldn't come up with anything original - instead you have grind hours for same boring trash mobs over and over and over...
The whole Archive is a joke!

The leads drop more reliably from the side quests in there.

At least if I was getting a piece of a class set and maybe a style motif in EVERY chest, the archive wouldn't feel like such a F-you to the player. Also the style page motifs cost a ridiculous amount considering the amount of time it takes to earn 12,000 fortunes. It's bad enough we have to grind for measly rewards but then we can't even afford anything afterwards!!!
