No Crown Crates for Belgian players + low endeavor seals

Hello!

I don't even know if this is the right place to talk about this. But Crown Crates are banned in Belgium (due to gambling laws (even though we have casinos lmao)) and other than earning them or getting somebody else to buy them for me, there is currently no way for me to get them. I know the alternative is Seals of Endeavor, but the earnable amount is DISMAL.

It may be an unrealistic question, but is there a way to bump them up at LEAST in places where Crown Crates are banned?

Seals of endeavors dont give you crown crates either but your able to buy items in a crown crate.

Crown crates are pure gambling in my opinion so I can understand you cant buy them i some countries.

I live in Sweden and I can buy crown crates but that dosent interest me at all.

There is no way of increasing endeavors as a player so either you need to buy crowns or collect endeavors for a year!

I agree ZOS should offer some alternative for people in countries where they can't (or have chosen not to) sell crown crates.

It's not really any of my business but I also think Belgium should fix the 'loophole' where loot boxes are classified as gambling, and so require a gambling licence, but video game companies cannot qualify for a licence. It would be interesting to see which games are willing to apply for (and comply with) a licence, and since ESO is already rated 18+ in Europe it seems like it could be an option for ZOS.

No one buys crown crates for the box, they buy it to get the things inside, so being able to buy those directly achieves the same result.

So in countries where you cant buy crates should be able to buy the items directly While other countries need to gamble for the items?

That dosent sound fair in my opinion

They don't give you the crates, they give you the items IN the crates but their price is extremely high and it takes literal years of saving up. Apex rewards cost you 8,000 Seals. You can only get 540 a week if you do every daily + the weekly endeavor.

And, again, the issue is that you Can't Buy Crates in Belgium. Crowns or no, you don't have the ability to purchase them.

And respectfully, good for you that you don't have any interest in crown crates? I'm not sure how relevant this is, sorry.

About as fair as certain countries not having access to said crates, lol.

That'd be nice, but it's been so long that I doubt it'll ever happen. There are even certain mobile games I can't play because they have the option to "gamble". Instead of disabling the function, they outright refuse to publish the game lol.

I can, but I still have to trust someone and pay them to get me crates.

If the "problem" here is that it would be a better option for everyone then the solution should be to make it available to everyone.

Exactly, even with the FOMO system crown crates could very easily be replaced by regular purchases. Instead of "Lamp Order Crates" it could be "Lamp Order Season" where for the usual duration of the crown crate availability you could simply sell the items that were in the crates.

You have the best beer, the best cheese, the best chocolate, the best waffles and some of life's finest deep-fried foods in Belgium. Surely you can do without gambling crates :)

Yes, having an American account on pc and test PTR before a major update grants a hefty sum of seals plus other goodies so that's worth a shot in your situation.

What they could do is sell Gems directly in those countries. It'd be a Whole Thing to implement just for certain areas, obviously.

But it could be an exchange rate less than that of what you'd get by buying crates and converting the junk & duplicates, if they were concerned about players wanting to take advantage of it or something.

Or they could sell exchange tokens—an Apex token that could exchange for an Apex reward, but you only get it in a bundle with lower-rarity tokens, like the rng of opening a crate normally.

While some people might want the experience of opening crates, I'm sure it's the stuff inside that's fun anyway.

Really? I thought it was only for the people who were banned and received 16k as compensation :O

Oh that's a good idea! And agree - I don't care about the experience, I just want the content inside LOL

Now that we get crate bundles with unique rewards (like cool recall animations) it's now more than ever unfair that we can't purchase them. I relied on a friend to get them for me, but it shouldn't be like this. They shouldn't be exclusive to crate bundles.
