Hybridization is the worst solution that could be for the individuality of classes for both pvp and pve . The individuality of classes has been completely destroyed; there is no need to come up with special builds (race, sets, etc.). The classes have become similar to each other, the only difference is in the animation of the skills, everyone chooses what is meta. Nowadays you rarely see only a stam or only a mana build (of course there are such, but I’m talking about the general one). Because of this hybridization, the building began to degrade and everyone runs around in the same thing.
The most popular build for ALL classes in PvP and which is meta is the dot/proc meta, Maarselok/Zaan + Way of Fire/relequen + sea-serpent's coil + Master dual + Vateshran ice staff all!
This is how I see the individuality of classes:
Dragon Kinght- Mana - Is a great fire mage, lots of Solo, AoE and DoT has increased fire damage damage and magic damage. A good in the mele mage
- Stam - Disease damage, poison damage, physical damage, lots of Solo damage. A good warrior in the mele
Night Blade- Mana - Good mage, magic crit damage and invisibility, close range. It has high mobility due to speed and invisibility
- Stam - High level for the ganker role, physical damage, and a good warrior through crit damage at close range. It has high mobility due to speed and invisibility
Sorcerer- Mana - An excellent ranged mage, has increased electrical damage, and has high mobility due to the strip. Has the ability to summon assistants
- Stam - Good warrior, good physical damage at close range, has high mobility due to streak
Templar- Mana - Good magician at close and medium range, has good execute ability (Beam), solo and AoE dmg
- Stam - Good warrior mage, good physical damage, solo and AoE dmg
Warden- Mana - Excellent frost mage, has increased cold and frost damage
- Stam - Good forest warrior, good warrior and good physical damage
Necromancer- Mana - High level for mana with DoT damage among all classes, magicexy damage, has all types of damage from the elements (fire, electric, frosty, possible cold fire damage)
- Stam - An excellent warrior of poison, disease damage, has a debuff to reduce healing and shield strength of opponents, has explosive damage
Arcanist- Mana/stam - A good mage/warrior with AoE damage for both solo targets and small groups at close and medium distances, has good survivability due to class shields and has good corridor damage (Beam)
This is not the final option, can always add/improve some aspects of the classes to make them individual.
Previously, there were different variations of builds, DoT/proc, Stat, bash, runner, etc.
All the main damage came from class abilities and sets complemented the class, there was at least some approximate good balance and it would wash away to collect a certain class.
Now the classes complement the sets, all the damage comes from the sets, and there is no point in the class, just one build for ALL classes.
Even if you want to come up with something, your build will lose to the proc/DoT build without any competition
Previously, 25k+ hp was enough for you, now 40k+ hp, warden 50k hp+, arcanist 50k hp+, etc. have begun to gain popularity. And not only has 40k hp become a normal phenomenon, they also have good damage.
With this progress, in a year or two everyone will be playing 70k at least and have 10k spd/wpd.
But this balance bypasses one class,
necromancer! which requires a lot of refinement and possibly rework. Whatever you put on it, whatever you come up with, this class will remain garbage in pvp.
The essence of classes should be in the uniqueness of classes, so that each class has cons and pros, each class is good or bad in one role or another and situation. So that classes in a joint game neutralize each other's disadvantages
And the worst thing is that this may just be the beginning with no idea where it can lead....
