So do I understand correctly that you use scribing to modify a skill and this modification will remain irrespective of the build you create with?
As long as scribing is just cosmetics that may be fine but they really should revise this as soon as scribing impacts how skills work.
I have characters for which I have saved several builds with different roles to the armory system. Some skills may have different purposes depending on morphs I chose depending on the role (I have a char that is dd and tank depending on the armory slot and another one that is dd and heal. I also have a pure dd build but with a build for trials and a build for solo world content and a build for solo arenas). This is really breaking the armory system logic here for me because some scribing on a skill morph may be more useful for solo content and some other more for group content.
For instance my pure dps build for trials is optimized for single target and dot whereas my pure dps build for solo arenas is relying more on aoe and dot with some heal options. Depending on what they offer in terms of scribing I may use this to further push that. Just think of the Flurry skill of the dual wield skill line: You can morph it into a pure damage skill good for group content where you want to max out your damage and the other morph with more self heal. If scribing is not attached to the morph but to the base skill this will completely damage how you can use the armory system.
So the essential question is: Will scribing affect base skill or will it be attached to the morph only?
I play all roles and various builds but only on one character exclusively.
I would have configure the same scribing skill in different ways if it were possible to use armory.
Now I would have to go to that specific location and spend ink every single time I want to change my roles kind of defeats the purpose imo. (and I would not bother tbh either)
In my head, this went from fully customising all my builds to maybe use the scribing skill on one build and miss out on the rest.
