Does anyone know why Zenimax left all the Witch's Festival decor scattered around Tamriel?

My running theory is they were trying to add more decoration to the event maps and accidentally put it on the usual maps. I hope that's the case because that's exciting and would explain why they might be struggling to fix it haha.

Some of the Witches Festival decorations are randomly up. If you go to the backside of the Vivec Banker area, there's a dead crow on a stick that was part of Witches, for example.

Pretty sure it's just a bug at this point.

Yeah there are a bunch of pumpkins, piles of straw, and wall decorations along side streets in Alinor.

It seems like events have had such issues this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is a bug. Granted, this is a minor issue, but I'd just like to know if it's intentional or not.

The decorations are not intended and we have them scheduled to be fixed in an upcoming incremental patch.

Thanks for confirming. Can you tell us what's up with events this year though? Seems like a lot of issues on something that's historically been pretty stable. Did you guys get new tech or team members?

Yeah I was looking at that dead crow yesterday and wondering why that was there, as I don't recall seeing it before. I was thinking maybe the Dunmer were starting some new voodoo metric, possibly for an upcoming quest.

Good (or bad?) to know it was just a past event decoration they forgot to take down.

All of my fellow pumpkin spice gremlins know that Halloween is a year round affair! 🎃 That being said, the Blackfeather Court takes umbrage with the crucified crow in Vivec and they're demanding financial compensation.

Halloween is known as 'the day the bombs fell', one can find Halloween decorations dotted everywhere around the wasteland.

Witches Festival definitely has Halloween 'adjacent' motifs and elements.

I posit that the the intense radiation released on 23/10/77 plus the meddling of The Interloper and Ug-Qualtoth caused an intense ripple through the Holographic Space-Time matrix that manifested as the remnant Witches Festival decorations in Bangkorai.

They are witches right? They don't give a toss if they confuse you by leaving the odd dead crow about.

Just info: there are still some stray Witches Festival decorations near Windhelm docks, around the gates. Love the anniversary decorations on the fountain in the marketplace there, btw!

I was so envious. My home my characters home is in Stormhold, I wish we had had witches decorations there too. A little bit of witches festival spirit all year round. I'm already planning this years costume.

well at least we cleared those witches out of direfrost keep so they wont be using that for a base of their shenanigans.
