Magden DPS - Whats the go to with Sets Nowadays?

I've been away for about a year and returning for the new DLC, I'm re-rolling a new character just to start anew because its been so long but I still have my old Magden (CP1850 +) wearing False God and Mothers Sorrow. Is this still pretty good combination or are there better options? I've looked up the Alcast, Xynode and Deltia's sites but was curious to hear from the community what the go to is. I plan on hitting PvE and some end game stuff, usually the community is wearing something different what these guys are posting :)

TIA!

Neither of the creators you looked up are particularly good for end game PvE, if you want a quality creator for such content then skinnycheeks is who you should turn to.

Your gear is not bad per say, just outdated but with a good rotation you should still be able to output servisable numbers.

I’m currently running a more theme oriented frost warden with whorl of the depths, frostbite and masters/maelstrom frost staves. I parse ~96k with this which is not half bad for a build in 7 light armor.

Ideally you’d want as many medium pieces as possible on your body as possible for the better passives. You have a few good options like ansuul, relequen, pillar of nirn and sul-xan, aegiscaller is also a good option for more stationary fights if you can proc it.
Whorl is still a good set to use if you need light armor, other light options would be frostbite (specifically for a frost heavy warden), siroria or sometimes bahsei.

What you’ll end up running depends a bit on your team, how many medium pieces you can sustain and what content you’ll be running. It’s a bit of a trial-and-error process.

    I'm wearing:
    Masters Ice Staff
Pillar of Nirn 3 body and ice staff backbar
    Perfected Relequen
Velothi Urmages amulet + 1pc slimecraw

What i have is probably minorly outdated but it could be changing even further with q2.

It performs very well in endgame content.

This is very accurate. i wholeheartedly agree that Skinnycheeks is the best content creator for endgame players.

The DSA ice staff is probably the most important part. Have to upkeep the buff every 4-5 seconds.

    - Iceheart monster set
    - Ansuul/Bahsei/Orders Wrath/Relequin
    - Masters ice staff, charged trait with poison or absorb stam enchant
    - Velothi + 2pc crit set rings
    - Any arena backbar weapon, charged trait frozen enchant. I use MA ice staff currently. BRP daggers if you need Major Evasion.

You can also drop the monster set+backbar arena weapon and run a proc set like Whorl or Pillar of Nirn with Slimecraw 1pc.

I haven't tried other monster sets yet. I think Stormfist and Nerienth might be okay, but stormfist gives stam recovery bonus line so not optimal. Selenes only if you have a melee backbar. Zaan is bad for magden, not enough crit procs while equipping charged weapons.

Personally I like Bahsei because mag sustain is rough if you double bar ice staff. False Gods is also fine, less damage but worth if you have sustain issues.

I am glad to see this I was thinking of making this build for 4 man fun.
