A few tips for farming dolmens

Today I did not have any luck in getting the style page to drop, but I come up with a few things that helped lessen the agony. Over the weekend the flashing lights and screen shaking gave me the worst headache right behind my eyes, so today I set the shaking to zero, and played with a pair of dark sunglasses on, which lessened the effect of the blue bursts everytime a daedra fell from the sky. This make it a bit more tolerable. And I switched to Dashaan, where I was able to also get an anniversary box with each boss, so although I still didn't get the style page the time spent wasn't a TOTAL loss. Happy 10th Anniversary, ZOS!

How do you turn off the screen shaking? I looked for a setting, but could not find one.

Put on the Shadowrend set as well, and every time you take damage, he will run around for 15 seconds fighting for you alongside your other pets. Add in Leeching Plate and Livewire sets, and you can passively lifetap, heal, and damage enemies with status effects too.

Settings, Camera, Global, Screen Shake, slide the bar to zero. I also turned Smoothing on as well in case that helped too.

Kinda sad when an event pushes you to RP as a bot. Was it really so hard to add these styles via an Achievement, something like:

They could have made them tradeable, or available with tickets. Then everybody can 'play as they want,' and go home happy at the end of the day.

After doing dolmens over a period of 6 days, I finally got the staff. It was the last one I needed, and the worst one to get for me. Others have experienced it differently.

I did. Got it running Fighter’s Guild dailies.

The light show is easily avoided staying out of Alik'r or other busy areas. Been going to Grahtwood and Shadowfen myself.

you guys n gals are making me feel bad.

got the sword while doing antiquities, got the staff just leveling from 21 to 24.

sword was 1 - 2 hours staff was 1 hour.

I dunno. the rng is weird.

I had one character once who fished for the Broth recipe on Arteum over a week - never, ever got it.

Let me give some tips too...

1. MOST IMPORTANT!!! ... DO NOT go to any of the Zones where most of all players are farming dolmens!!! That would be primarily be *Alik'r*... The reasons are:

• too many players farming
• too many effects
• with that too much lag and fps loss
• also because of that, no boxes from bosses, since nearly no chance to out damage all those players
• (speculation from me) I think the number of drops of those event style pages is limited to 1-2 per dolmen, with trillions of players your chances are slim to get it

2. Instead go to a Zone where Dolmens are near Wayshrine BUT only a few players farm. (I am not going to mention which Zones, since everyone should know them and I don't want those Zones become totally overcrowded too .) With this you can get boxes from the bosses and won't waste your time completely.

3. Take a companion along, which you still need to level. If you at least hit every spawing mob once, you will get XP for its defeat! Therefore it is a good way to level companions.

4. If you still have chars where you need to level skills (eg. Fighters Guild or Weapon- or Class-Skill lines) use them. With the XP you get from all dolmens it will be a good opportunity to level them.

5. If you still have chars where you need to level your Jewelry-Crafting, use the jewelry item drops from the dolmen chests to level them. You will get Crafting-XP and jewelry mats . Those mats you can use or sell.

This event's bounded rewards turned the supposed "play the way you like" into grinding the way you hate to earn nothing.
