Does Ul'vor Staff style page drop from boss, from clam shell, or from pearl?

I'm one of the hundreds of players simultaneously running from geyser to geyser for way too many hours trying to get the Ul'vor Staff style page drop. So I'm wondering where specifically in this farming process the style page drops. Does the style page drop from the boss, which only 12 people who do the most damage out of the mob of at least three times that many players get to loot, or does the style page drop from the pearl to open the clam shell, or does it drop from looting the clam shell?

The abyssal pearl itself is not a container and doesn't drop anything. You do not need to activate it to get credit for anything.

I haven't received one as a drop yet but everyone I know who has received it said it came from the shell.
