Gold Road Prolog Thoughts (Spoiler Free)

I love the direction ESO has been going since Necrom.
I have long felt that it would be a smart move to have a story that continues longer than 1 year, and the dynamics of the story that Necrom introduced is awesome.
The prolog quest for Gold Road only took that to another level. When I played through high Isle, I figured out who the villain was the first time I ran into him. For the story arc introduced with Necrom, I have so many conflicting ideas about what might be going on. Part of me wants to think that the end of the whole story arc will somehow result in the death of Ithelia, but with Ithelia being a full-fledged deadric prince I am left to wonder is that even possible?
From there, the deeper the story goes the more I am left to wonder is Ithelia really the villain or does that title more properly belong to Mora?
I have so many questions and thoughts about where this story is going, I hope that Gold Road is not the conclusion and that it ends up continuing even longer.
The fact that the prolog only left more questions for me about the end of the story leaves me wanting to run back through it with the rest of my characters just to see if I can pick more bits out of it.

My compliments to the writers. You are seriously knocking it out of the park with this story arc.

I agree that there's more subtlety to this story than there was with High Isle. Part of my conflict in the story comes from me not liking Mora at all, so also not liking being obliged to work for him. I kind of want to be on the other side or remain neutral. So far I don't really buy into Mora's premise that he did what he had to do for all of reality. It'll be interesting to see how they can show, in game, the chaos that Mora insists Ithelia will bring.

I also like how some of the other Daedric princes were against Mora's decision but he just went ahead and pushed it through because "he knows best." With how the story went in Necrom and the prologue, he seems to have an awful lot of blind spots for someone who supposedly sees/knows everything. Or maybe a title such as "The one who knows" was attributed to him by his followers and takes liberties with the truth (kind of like how Mora does himself).

It was a good prologue. But then we got a non combat pet as a reward, instead of a momento like all the prologues before this. :|

Went up with anniversary, there is a fellow in mourhold you can talk to (in between inn and city center) to start the quest.

As for the quest itself, in general the storyline seems to be fine, but there are some... arguable points.

Primarily there is a bit of seeming confusion on the subject of fate. For most of necrom and gold road, fate is being presented in a deterministic fashion, with ithelia being able to change it at her will, which damages the threads of it. But then on ocasion or two Mora makes a statement that basically defies the deterministic nature of fate that he himself is promoting for the rest of times.

I have some other comments I won't type in this thread, because I can't do it withotu spoilers.

You can also find the quest giver in any of the capital cities.

Yeah, I had some of the same thoughts about fate and Mora's motivations, based on some of his comments during the prologue.

All during Necrom he was telling us, "If you don't do A, then B will happen, and that's bad." But we didn't do A and B did happen and...it's not quite the consequence he led us to believe. So he's playing a deep game and using us as he sees fit, only telling us what he thinks will motivate us best, or he's full of nonsense and contradictions, or?

But like I said, I don't like him, and I've been suspicious of him from the start, and I'd just as soon aid Torvesard, if I have to take a side in this.

That is one of the things that leave me to wonder if Mora is the real villain.
