We're getting a "Throw Shield" skill from Scribing!

I think this wasn't know until now (at least I must have religiously ignored it then if this was known before) and I'm really excited. I love skills where you throw your shield at opponents, it adds such a cool touch to the tank role (Avenger's Shield from WoW is amazing) and finally we're getting one in ESO. Best thing about this? You can make the shield bounce and hit multiple targets! This sounds like a great way for tanks to pull from range, something that's been rather lackluster in the game for a very long time.

It’ll be an awesome skill. Just wish we could use it as an AOE taunt! Outside that, it’s gunna be my new favorite skill 100%

Maybe there‘s a modifier for that, the one mentioned in the article was to set targets off-balance, which isn’t bad either.

Now they just need to have it increase off of Bash Damage, and a way to turn it into an execute.

They specifically said no AoE taunt on the stream.

In other news, you can basically craft another vigor which unless they've changed something about HOTs will stack with actual vigor and regeneration.

So that'll be spicy.

Good. I love throwing my Paladin tank's shield in WoW watching it bounce off hostiles then return to me. Always wanted to do that in this game.

It'll be interesting to see what it stacks with and how long the radius is. I think I’ll stick to my usual opener though, taunting big enemies and controlling the center of aoe pulls is pretty important. Might make for some fun roleplay or meme builds but realistically I don’t think it’ll overtake current openers.

Any damage that is sourced from the shield portion of the One Hand and Shield skill line should scale with both wd/sd and bash damage. Just like Power Slam and Reverb.

A ranged multi interrupt would be nice. Could be useful in vAS or vKA if an offtank doesn't feel comfortable running dual wield for the shrouded dagger skill.

I hope this means tanks no longer have to 2nd bar staves anymore. I always thought that looked super awkward from an esthetic and lore point of view. Tanks should be warriors, not mages.

Still will have* to unless the scribing skill can make a ground AoE. Ice staves are important for many reasons, Crusher is one of them.

*I mean you really don’t HAVE to do anything for most content.
