Welp...I finally gave in to the fact that the most fun I have with PvP is nightblade (with a bit of shame). That said, I've started leveling two new NB's to end up with a NB in each alliance. I go through this same process each time I level an alt..so thought I'd share and document here. BY ALL MEANS please contribute your thoughts and processes.
  • Get gold from stash
  • Enable mount, upgrade speed
  • Configure CP points (horse and character speed first)
  • Get Ally (mine is a healer)
  • Join Fighter and Mage guild
  • Start the Psijic Order questline
  • With Shard and Book addons, get every shard and book in each zone while closing the Psijic portals
  • At level 10 unlock Undaunted skill line
  • At level 10 complete the Alliance War tutorial to get Continuous Attack Assault passive
  • Stay on the back bar while exploring, as it levels slower in combat
  • Use those xp scrolls
  • Make sure your gear is all training trait
  • Do a daily dungeon every day

Ok...I think that's all I got. This will NOT get you to level 50 in a a day (I'm at level 30 right now after maybe 12 hours and I'm only on part 1 of the Psijic line and just got to Stonefalls). This WILL get you to level 50 in a few days AND unlock all the Psijic skills in the process.

Tip at the stage where people might want to get continuous attack: If you have any doubts that the tutorial AP will get you to Assault Rank 3, pop a 50% Colovian War Torte and you will reach rank 3 before you've even ended the tutorial (Sometimes the tutorial can leave you just short of rank 3, so the torte can push you over. If you're short AP on a character, town quests can fill the rest of the bar as well.)

Do not skip training- do the whole tutorial, otherwise the AP you get will be halved and you wont reach rank 3 as quickly.
    Legends never die
    They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
    Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause
    Legends never die

Circling back on this. I leveled a new character at the start of the Jester event using the method above. By the time I was completely finished with the Psijic order questline, and picking up every book and shard in the questline zones, I was level 49. I hit the grind area in Craglorn for a whopping 5 minutes, and hit level 50.

I will say, if you know the race and class you're wanting, make the character right away, get them some gold and have them sit at the stables even if you don't plan on leveling them....that way by the time you get to that character, hopefully they have more speed on the mount then starting fresh.
