Disappointed with Jester’s Festival Coffer Loot

Mostly getting stuff like “treasures” I have to sell to npc and the sparklers I have to manually destroy from inventory. Also got the 30th or so banner furnishing of all time.

I was unable to get the costume last year and was hoping for some minstrel cloth drops, but nothing so far. I looked yesterday in guild traders and some guy had 10 of them to sell. I was looking forward to this event but it feels like a waste of time for me.

I guess I am glad I can buy those minstrel cloths this year but if I have to buy them all with tickets that will hurt.

Jester's Festival reward coffers are rather notoriously boring.

As for the minstrel scraps, you do not have to buy them with your precious event tickets. Players sell them on guild traders. They were somewhat highly priced last year, but this year the price should drop rather significantly as the people most interested in it already have the collectible.

I wouldn't be so sure about the prices for the scraps dropping this year. It is true that those are now dropping unlimited, without the *once per day* limit they had while they were *new* last year. But still. Since a lot of players didn't get all 10 during last years event, I am pretty sure that prices will stay above 100k per scrap .

This will be the 3rd year of trying to get the sovereign sow for me. Out of the 7 fragments right now I have 4. I have no reason to think I will get the final 3 this time. It shouldn't take over 3 years to get one event reward!

So far this year I have gotten mostly things I have so many of I'm just destroying them. This festival's drops are truly pitiful!

Yeah, I think buying the scraps with tickets and the style pages with gold is the way to go.

It’s just unfortunate that events nowadays aren’t like they used to be. The drops back then were good enough you could share with others in your guild and just give away your duplicates. Those days have been gone for a long time now.

Gonna be honest, I love that Jesters coffers don't offer much. Same as New Life, it takes 2 minutes to get event tickets and the rest is entirely optional with zero FOMO. All events are of course optional, but having a few events a year where you come and go from it this easy is quite nice.

Yes, I also like that you can "finish" some regular events.

Yes, it is easy and I’m not complaining about that. The problem is the number of reward containers for this event is going to be much lower than some other events. The drop rate for items needs to take this into account, or you get too much in one event and not enough in another.

Same....8 characters today x 3 for 24 boxes and I got jack all....nothing of value at all. Blissfully a forum reader felt my pain and I've got the Jewels of Misrule recipe now. Tomorrow first one to get tickets and done.....what a waste of time.

I'm going to decorate a house with nothing but banners. Banner bathroom, banner bed, banner walls.

I've gotten a few style pages, though, so I'm happy. Only bothering with 3 alts, quests are too much of a hassle.

I don't waste time with this event; I hop in, get my tickets and that's it. It's just such a bland event.

I read a post last year from someone who has 3 accounts with 18 characters each, and it still took them nearly a week to get all 10 pieces of the minstrel cloth. The odds are pretty low.

I've found the Jester's Festival to be pretty dull after getting the achievements, but the Jubilee Festival coming back to back to this one is one of the most rewarding.

At least you have 4 fragments. I have been here since the first time the event was implemented (6 years ago I think) and only have 1 fragment. They should be sold by the Impresario during the event. Drop rate is so awful.

Yeah this is yet another event where I just do the minimum. Throw on my silly hat, get my tickets, go do something fun.

Wish they'd look at making some of the recurring events more interesting for those who have experienced them before (and no, adding super-grindy fragments that take years for an average player to collect is not interesting).

Also grabbing my tickets and then doing something else. I’m preloading all my alts with as many dailies as I can for the Anniversary instead. And clearing out Master Writs. Much better use of my time!

If you just want to do 1 quest fast, kill the pig! It has hardly any health and dies quickly. Pickup the apple quest at the same time, and you get 2 done for the price of 1. You won't even need to do the quests each day.

If you just want to do 1 quest fast, kill the pig! It has hardly any health and dies quickly. Pickup the apple quest at the same time, and you get 2 done for the price of 1. You won't even need to do the quests each day.

Kind of annoying that we can’t pick up the pig-killing quest on site though.

You can! They let you pickup at the Jester tents, but you can also pick it up on-site. The quest is on a post at the arena.

i have 16 characters do daily,in this 3rd year finally get all 7

Either that, or do like at least one other event that has the bags of yesteryear for a certain number of tickets.

They did add the Sanguine quest but that’s not something I want to take the time to do more than once.
