New jester festival style

Do new jesters style pages (also available in impresario) - drop from purple boxes as well?

Every event there’s a style set that drops from boxes - with a 1 per day cooldown - but jesters article vaguely suggests pages only drop from gold box (which you can only get 1 per day per account) - and it’s not guaranteed - so that seems a very crappy way to obtain them.

I haven't seen any style pages in the purple coffers. I got 3 from my gold coffer today on PC EU-- 1 of the new ones and 2 old ones that I already knew-- which leads me to hope that they increased the drop chances to compensate for the fact that the event is shorter than usual.

I came here wondering if they have done something about the drop rate because normally I have to run around doing quests all over to get even one style page. This time I have got one from the gold chest on day one and two (one old and one new) from the gold chest today. Seeing two in the chest made me wonder if they have changed how it works, and if so I am very grateful for it because usually trying to get style pages in these events is a nightmare of no drops or duplicates.

It has both as far as I remember? And shoulders just clip through everything, right.

Huh, didn't when I previewed it, and on that promotional shot it only has a crotch flap, no hip ones.

Edit: The Second Seed style from previous years didn't have any flap. Feels like we only get flap free or partly flap free on niche things like this.

Didn't when I previewed it, and on that promotional shot it only has a crotch flap. No hip ones.

i thought the yellow bits on the sides might be tassets, but maybe not

Took and looked again, and apparently it do have some very close to the legs yellow flaps. Guess they still have flaps, but they are much discreeter than what we usually get. Like they don't float.

Its hit or miss. I really liked the warthog armor that they had I think for the PVP event, and then the Wolf armor, but in between those, there have been some pretty bad ones for sure. I usually get them just to collect.

Waframe has community-made skins and they are really cool, but I dread to think how ZOS would implement that with their approach to monetization

That sounds awesome! Other MMO`s MMORPG`s game designer, are WAY ahead with great ideas as ZOS. I has doubts it will ever change in ESO. Time to move on.

I am not 100% sure, but as far as I am aware the *golden* event boxes do have a *higher* chance to drop a page from the new style. The *purple* boxes only have an *extremly small* chance to drop a page. Don't know the percentages, but I would guess something like 1% chance for the golden ones and 0,00000000000000001% chance for the purple ones .

The shoulder style seemed alright. Otherwise the Jester's Seeker Suit style is not a very appealing. It's just not as comical as the Daedroth costume was, though it is a style for more precise customization so at least there's that.

Anyway, the Jester's Festival is probably the least exciting event of the year to be honest, and I don't care much for body markings since they typically end up hidden anyway so that makes it easy to save event tickets at least. I am much more looking forward to the Anniversary event that starts immediately after Jester's Festival.

Yeah the article says the new style pages only come from golden boxes. So far I've got one every time (2 golden boxes x 2 accounts), and since this is a short event I wonder if the drop might be guaranteed this time? Anybody who didn't get a style page from their golden box yet?

I was excited by the shoulder style as an option for a more down-to-earth traveler's outfit, until I saw how horribly it clipped with my character's armor in the preview. It's still the most usable piece in my view, but I'm disappointed that I won't be able to just toss it over everything without having to try to make the clipping a feature instead of a bug.

I also agree with your comparison to the Daedroth costume. That one was just a goofy dino suit that you make companions wear for fun, but the Seeker outfit is in a weird middle ground where it doesn't fully commit to the bit of being a seeker costume but it slaps tentacles all over everything so if you're not really into tentacles it kinda ruins the appeal.

So it's just sorta something to collect because it's there and there isn't much else to spend tickets on, but definitely not as fun or useful as last year's costume.
