Bedlam Veil - possible exploit?

Was in a group just now looking forward to the 3 puzzle area chests loot plus chance of any normal chest spawns, when we were all pulled to final boss within about 5 secs of arriving at the first puzzle area...

Someone had somehow avoided the 3 puzzle areas and got straight to final boss selfishly depriving the rest of the group of 3+ gear drops.

I retraced steps after boss but can't work out how they did it - is this some sort of exploit or am I missing something ? !

theres a mob in front of each puzzle, but those platforms are fairly large, it could theoretically be possible to avoid all 3 mobs and get to the boss platform if you didnt aggro any of the mobs by going around the outside edge

i havent tried that myself but another method ive used to avoid mobs is perma cloaking on a NB past mobs (this doesnt work in all cases, for example bloodroot forge has some mobs that will aggro on you even if your cloaked)

i dont know if i would call it an exploit though if they are just running ahead and skipping mobs

Thanks for the replies - I hadn't considered this as I thought that the portals only materialised and became accessible once trash mobs were defeated, as in the first area at the beginning of the dungeon.

Must be that the portals in the puzzle area are different and are active regardless.

This is a nice ploy, as Maarselok is a pretty long haul

i did kind of the same thing, but in ICP to get the achievement for your group not being spotted by watchers lol

it was far easier to do that with 1 stealthy player than trying to get the whole group to not be spotted lol
