Does the Khajit racial effect Archery?

Title says it all, has anyone tested this out? I know it says melee but I really would like to believe Khajit could be more universal. At the moment the only race that promotes archery is Bosmer...

In the language version I play the game it is defined that it adds to weapon hits, no word about melee (close combat).

Since there is no "melee crit" or "ranged crit" stats, I'm going to assume that it actually means Weapon Critical. I have seen other posters saying it does apply to bows as well.

I believe Zenimax have really big problems translating from German to English -.-
So many missleads on tooltips...

Na, read the EN tooltip and it says melee crit. The german tooltips from a friend do not mention the equivalent in that language, simply says crit.
