As title says, please let us lock companion gear.

While questing and exploring, I like to have my companion in armor/weapons that she hasn't fully leveled yet, so she can level those skill lines. HOWEVER, when I come across a hard world boss/harrowstorm etc., I want to equip her with her BEST weapon, armor and skills. This means that I carry around 2 sets of gear for her.

Currently, companion gear cannot be locked (neither can it be marked as junk), so it is VERY easy to accidentally sell. Selling super expensive pieces of companion gear is mortifying. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us lock it!

I see there have been a bunch of threads about this in the past. I'm amazed this hasn't been implemented yet, as it seems like such an obvious and straightforward change to make.

to go along with this, we should also have the ability to mark companion gear as junk too lol

if you do accidentally sell an item to a merchant, there is a "buy back" tab in which you can basically undo the sell action, though i dont know exactly how long the item will stay in that buy back tab

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I agree. IDEALLY we should be able to lock it AND junk mark it, like player gear.

I agree. Having a few extra pieces of companion gear readily available is handy. Being able to lock it avoids accidently selling it and also makes it quicker/easier to find if in your bank.

Even better (and in addition to) though would be for companions to be able to carry a small number of pieces of companion gear. That way, you have the flexibility of readily changing their gear regardless of which character you are on.

Is this issue for non-PC platforms? I play on PC, with addons, and I'm able to lock companion gear that's in my inventory (i.e. not currently equipped on a companion).

With no addons yes. Any problem players on the PC solve with an addon remains a problem for the console.

I know, that's what I said in my previous post. The main reason I asked the question, though, is that more than 1 poster in this thread plays on PC, according to their forum signatures, so I just wanted to confirm that this problem wasn't somehow affecting PC players also.
